That's not true. Jay Glazer reported he was asking other players to get him out of Cleveland in 2019. MKC mentioned him possibly being moved in April of 2021.



Players and coaches will always say the safe and correct thing...until things start not going well. Same thing happened in NY. He didn't want to be there and he didn't want to be traded here.



Players treat this as a business. I doubt many players would've cared that he preferred to be elsewhere as long as he kept showing up every day, which he did until he forced the issue to get out. Even after he did that, I'm not surprised he has allies.

FWIW I'm happy for OBJ. He could see the writing on the wall and he somehow managed to weasel his way out to where he wanted. And now he's playing to get into the SB. From a purely objective perspective you have admire his ability to manage that.
