Does anybody think he'll be picked up by any team?

At least now he'll really get a fair shake to do something. He may never be a starter again, but I think his next team will give him a chance to prove himself in one way or another.

He shouldve embraced the TE position like they told him to. Now hes wasted years tryna be a QB

Before anyone tries to connect the dots, the answer is NO!

What if that team that asked him to play tight end was us.... :chuckles: I can see the Grossi tweets now.

Why not tell him he can be the third string QB, but has to play multiple positions.

Cleveland Browns: It's a long way from sunny Florida, but coach Rob Chudzinski ran an option-fueled offense with the Carolina Panthers; none of Cleveland's current quarterbacks bring that flavor. The Browns didn't add a passer in the 2013 NFL Draft and appear married to the idea of giving Brandon Weeden another chance this season, but Tebow would give this young team some flexibility.

I try my hardest not to root against the guy, but the instinct is there. It's not even his fault as he seems like a nice kid.

The issue was spending time in Florida, where the UF fans are just brutal homers. There's a mix of annoying college kids who went to school there and hicks that have no business being UF fans because they didn't attend college there...or anywhere else for that matter. If you lived in Florida, you'd understand. The guy was lionized and INCREDIBLY over-rated when it came time for the draft. Part of it's that, but part of it is also that some of us were screaming from the roof-tops that he had zero chance of succeeding in the NFL, but everyone kept calling him a "winner" and plugging away at the idea that he'd just find a way to make it as a QB in spite of a horrible arm and an over-rated IQ.

Whatever. If he succeeds as a FB or TE somewhere, great. Just so long as I can stop hearing about him as a QB.

I can't help but hope some team (not mine) gives him the reigns of an offense and let's him go at it. The Tebow/Broncos season of miracle comebacks week after week was my favorite non-Browns storyline of my life as an NFL fan. Absolutely magical run, and the first time I sat down to watch another city's team religiously every Sunday.

The stars probably just aligned for that to happen, but I want some shitty franchise like Jacksonville to at least give it a try to see if it can happen again. They're not going anywhere as is...Tebow time!

this. At work earlier someone was absolutely shocked that the jets would drop him, and that he never got a fair shake, and that he is just a natural born leader and the next team he goes to he not only will start for the team, but lead the team to the playoffs like he did the broncos. i think everyone else in the room just tuned the guy out. it was a microcosm of why people dont like tebow

You know what, I'd like him on this team. He wont be able to play much but it will improve the team on and off the field. He's a natural leader which we need. He'll be a backup anyways and if Weeden sucks, Tebow is good enough to start. I mean, he cant be worse than Jason Campbell right? Right?

No so sure about that. While the Jets had many distractions, Tim Tebow was the biggest one. The amount of media coverage he brings along with him is just too overwhelming.

I'd rather see him at full back then TE.
