The 2013-2014 NFL Regular Season Thread For Other Teams

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I am so sick of how freaking lucky the Steelers get. Being 8-8 and even having a shot at the playoffs is lucky. Having 2 teams losing, at home, against teams with nothing to play for is ridiculously lucky.

Worse, we now have to hear the inbred, bandwagon Steeler fans talk about much "heart" this team has. BS. Your stadium was half full when you had a shot at the playoffs. You get every favorable call and get teams to choke around for no reason. Put down those fruity towels.

actually I should't be mad at the Chiefs, the Steelers blew like 3-4 games and should have easily have made the playoffs.

Shut the fuck up. If anything, they got incredibly UNLUCKY. Succop SHOULD have won it with a field goal. Chiefs D SHOULD have gotten that last TD in OT, but the refs gave the ball back to the Chargers. I get that you don't like the Steelers, and I'm not asking you to. But damnit, stop it with the "inbred", "bandwagon", "fruity" fan comments. There is fun rivalry between fanbases, and then there is just pathetic, desperate comments like this. The Steelers didn't fire your coach after one season. The Steelers didn't draft Brandon Weeden in the first round. The Steelers didn't move the team to Baltimore in the 90s. In fact, they were huge proponents of KEEPING the team in Cleveland. I grew up in Northeast Ohio, as a Steelers fan whose family from both sides was born and raised in Pittsburgh. I have had to deal with this shit for almost 15 years. I have MANY friends who are Browns fans. I have a few Bengals fans friends. I even have two friends from Baltimore. People grow up where they grow up. They root for who they root for.

Having Cleveland and Pittsburgh fully integrated into who I am prevents me from rooting AGAINST any teams from either city, as strange as that sounds. I don't root against the Browns. I don't root against the Cavs or Tribe (obviously). But seriously, grow the hell up. My dad taught me early on in my life how to not be a sore loser or a trashy winner. I could go around saying every Ravens fan is a heroin addict, or that every Seahawks fan is a dirty hipster. But, instead, I just watch the NFL and enjoy it.

Whenever I go to Cavs games, I notice they always put up a Steelers logo when the opposing team shoots free throws in an attempt to drum up boos. I laugh whenever they do this. I think it's clever, and am glad that Cleveland makes a genuine effort to keep the rivalry alive. People who boo opposing fans and jeer them, that's just good fun. Those who beat the shit out of opposing fans, slash their tires, break their windows, etc. are trashy, shitty people. Plain and simple.

Taking a chance here. I actually do believe in the Panthers. The best team heading into the playoffs (ie Denver and Seattle) rarely wins the title. Hottest team, however, almost always seems to be there. Philly, Carolina, San Francisco, and New England are all fairly hot. New Orleans, Indy, and especially Kansas City, really came limping in.

This. Whenever I feel 'mad' about how they should've been in, I think about, well, if Antonio Brown's foot stayed in in that Miami game, if Ben didn't fumble the ball at the 2 in the Minnesota game in London, if we take care of the Raiders, if we did covert that two-point conversion against Baltimore, if we beat Tennessee on opening day. It's hard to say they didn't have their chances. Gotta give them credit for going from 0-4 and 2-6 to 8-8, though. Still haven't decided whether I think they'll be better or worse next year...
