Actually, Jack, that isn't true. This thread is posted in the "(NCAA) Ohio State Buckeyes" forum. There are also "OSU Football" and "OSU Basketball" sub forums. Doc's comment is reasonable here. Please stop trolling this.

It was the way the post came off that got under my skin. Coming into a thread full of Buckeye fans in the OSU sub forum and posting laughter, all caps, and a million exclamation points just seemed like a troll job. He explained and and it's over. Though I still don't get why you don't seem to grasp this concept.

I appreciate one guy sticking up for me, I really do thank you, but I can see where I went wrong. I was excited Wichita won and it just came off wrong. The thing that does piss me off though is that everyone did view me as some troll that just created an account to come in and make people mad. I can feel the hate. Really, thats how I'm viewed? It is called realcavsfans and I am a Cavs fan. Obviously all the other Ohio teams are supported too, which I sometimes forget, but I thought it was primarily for the Cavs.

It might have been blown out of proportion or whatever, but I am honestly gonna give myself a little self ban here. I really don't feel like posting anymore.

I didn't think you created a new account to troll us. I just figured you were a Michigan fan who was trying to rub salt in the wound. Didn't know you were from Kansas and actually had a somewhat legit reason for rooting for them.

Also while this is a Cavs site, people come here to post about the other major sports. This all occurred in the OSU sub forum.

I guess you misunderstand the phrase "March Madness" to begin with. Everyone has a prayer, one and done, is what makes this tourney fun to watch to begin with. In a 7 games series, WS wouldn't stand a chance against a much overly matched Duke or Louisville.

One game? Any team can be suckered punch. I wouldn't put my money on WS, but I wouldn't exactly put my house on either Lousiville or Duke either.

You have a lot of trouble with reading what I write. Duke and Louisville would/will be heavy favorites against Wichita State, and would have been against Ohio State. The likelihood of either team beating one of them is low. Jesus.

This. This team was the fourth most talented in the Big 10 alone.

I just think you should have worded it differently is all like, "Guys, really sorry for your loss. But, this is likely the first good news in sports for my State in the past year, with all the craptastic play of my Kansas City teams and all. I'm pretty excited over the win." Something along those lines wouldn't have gotten the reaction you got.

But, this is likely the first good news in sports for my State in the past year, with all the craptastic play of my Kansas City teams and all. I'm pretty excited over the win." Something along those lines wouldn't have gotten the reaction you got.

He wouldn't have had to be that polite about it at all. It's just that his post never mentioned anything about being a Wichita fan. I didn't know he was from Kansas. So with the laughing and exclamations points I just figured he was one of OSU's haters, probably a Michigan fan.

I don't know if there is one in Ohio, but in-state rivalries are the worst. Well, I guess maybe Browns and Bengals? But the whole K State vs KU things is pretty bad. I'm a KU fan and have been one since a kid, but I'm really just not super into college sports to be honest, so I really don't get into that whole feud or get offended by it. But WOW is there some animosity. On Facebook and Twitter when K State or KU lose, there is tons of fights and it gets pretty personal. I think its kinda funny actually. And Wichita State is literally like the only peacemaker in Kansas right now. Both K State and KU fans are cheering for Wichita State. Harmony at last.

And I swear I will never mention Wichita State again in here. Even if they won the national championship (which won't happen), it would be tough but even if they did I won't make a post about it.

Feel free to talk about them in the future, this thread is about the tournament after all. Especially since OSU isn't in it anymore. Like I said, I just assumed you were a douchey Michigan fan.

OSU doesn't really have any big in state rivalries. There are some good ones with the smaller schools, but nobody in Ohio can really touch OSU in their big sports. The OSU Michigan one can get pretty damn intense though. I'm talking people setting people's cars on fire.

BG's big rival is Toldeo, but frankly we all suck at everything anyway so it's kind of a stupid rivalry. Sports at BG are just an unnecessary reason to get plastered.

I think Matta had a bad game. I don't think I've been over-the-top bashing him. I've defended him from crazy attacks and I like Matta but I think he had a bad game in the elite 8. He had a roster that was more talented and lost.

If you can explain to me why the team was just putting up lazy 3's and didn't start attacking until they were down 20 feel free... Or why the took the press off when it got them back in the game?

Bottom line is elite 8 sounds like a good season for this team, but it feels like (to me and probably a lot of other fans) that Ohio State was basically gift-wrapped a final 4 with this region.
