It would take a trade, but Jed Lowrie is an under the radar guy that could be a great stopgap.

He signed for 2 years $20 million prior to last season with the Mets but then missed the entire year with injuries. He was awesome for the A's in '17 and '18.
I like Lowrie too, but he's going to be 36 next season so you've gotta wonder how well he can actually rebound.

Just read up on his injuries a bit from last season, and he had a few setbacks during rehab. If the Mets paid a decent chunk of that $10 mil, I'd be all over it as a rebound project, but I'm not as sure about the move if we'd have to front the full $10 million to him.

Considering the free agent crop at 3B and 2B, I’m really intrigued by the idea of the Tribe signing Travis Shaw to a one year deal if he ends up being non-tendered by Milwaukee. Major bounce back candidate and wouldn’t require much of an investment.

$1 million of this year's salary was party of his signing bonus (according to spotrac)

1 year $9 million is reasonable in my opinion

Other points to consider: Shaw is from Ohio & went to Kent State

FWIW, one of the "insiders" on the Scout Indians board is saying the Indians and Dodgers are in serious trade discussions

Please just IGNORE the troll on the IBI/ Scout/ 24-7 board named Reno Deluxe (or Reno D2. or Reno D3, or CTownSportsFan)...
It has ruined a decent chat place & I departed as I couldn't take it anymore

Someone over there had the Indians-Reds-Padres deal a few hours before any tweets and info came out. Not sure if it was Reno but definitely it was being talked about there ahead of the news breaking in specific teams involved

That dude is on this board as well. He got driven off I think when he said Jose wouldn’t produce and everyone kept giving him shit.
