It would take a trade, but Jed Lowrie is an under the radar guy that could be a great stopgap.
He signed for 2 years $20 million prior to last season with the Mets but then missed the entire year with injuries. He was awesome for the A's in '17 and '18.
I like Lowrie too, but he's going to be 36 next season so you've gotta wonder how well he can actually rebound.
Just read up on his injuries a bit from last season, and he had a few setbacks during rehab. If the Mets paid a decent chunk of that $10 mil, I'd be all over it as a rebound project, but I'm not as sure about the move if we'd have to front the full $10 million to him.
