I agree we could get great value from the Clevinger deal but to expect a Colon type return is unrealistic. We shall see in a few years how good the deal was.
If he clears waivers (likely), then he gets offered back to the Tribe.. who can: buy him back at half the price... or work a deal with the A's to allow them to keep him.. The payment for this kind of transaction is typically "cash considerations" or less..

I'm guessing Gamel has more value to Tito than would Tom....I find myself in that camp, too.
I'd love to have Pache, but you can never have enough pitching and right now much of ours is on fumes. I don't want to weaken further our perceived strength. We can bring up Mercado and Zimmer and platoon them to get good defense and hit .133.
Meh, I'll pass on that. Tom is nothing more than a 5th or 6th outfielder and tbh, Gamel is probably a better defending CF.
Maybe pass on both Tom and Gamel.. Being "better" won't help the major league club..either way..
