Just another reason I think that Clase will be the full time closer by mid-May.

Hard to disagree.

Karinchak may be hiding out in Tito's attic by then.

I fail to see how all this motivates any decisions on bullpen usage.
I see it as an unnecessary distraction for the team with Karinchak’s utter lack of control (on the mound) already jeopardizing his prospects as full time closer. Perhaps it will blow over, perhaps not.

p.s., looks like the board moderator has already scrubbed the offensive tweet from this thread. And the tweet appears to have been deleted from Twitter.

I missed it. Was that a tweet By or About Karinchak? Was it a naughty?

I dearly hope to hear Kungkuan Giljegiljaw (Gong-kwon Gi-li-gi-lao) echoing over the PA in my lifetime.

I think I'd have given up tickets just to stay home and listen to Herb Score handle that one.

His suitability for closer has already been fully taken into account. But honestly, exalting the "closer" role is kind of silly to begin with, as if coming in with two men on and no one out facing the heart of the order with a one run lead in the seventh isn't cause for concern. Wouldn't his "utter lack of control" factor there?

As long as Karinchak is on the team, I expect him to be used in any manner necessary to help the team. And when it comes to him and Clase, waiting around for a stupid save may not be the best employment of these young men's skills.

But realistically, anything that falls short of getting a reliever tossed off the team isn't likely to factor into their usage one bit. Everyone knows what he's all about and his (to be kind) quirkiness.

Herb was the worst....and strangely the best, too.
It's crazy too, knowing what we know now, that the post concussion syndrome from the drilling in 57 was probably both the cause of his occasional stammering and his premature Alzheimer's. We maybe never got Herb's best as an announcer, let alone as a pitcher.

Nah...I read an article about how Hammy used to listen to his broadcasts, think of how he could improve his delivery and preparation, etc.. Hammy was good because he worked at it.

Herb's comment in the same article was "I have to listen to that crap going out - no way I'm going to listen to it again."

Dude was bad because he didn't care enough to work at his second career.
