The 2021 Cleveland Baseball Organization

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I’ve said enough about Karinchak’s work ethic in here over the years, as recently as yesterday too.

If you choose to ignore that it’s not my job to hold your hand to get you there.

If you choose not to believe me that’s fine too.

Stop equating what the guy says on social media with how he behaves in his professional life.

Cannot so easily separate them but I’ll drop my line of questioning in the interest of board civility. You could, for your part, try to be a little less condescending toward those who may disagree with you. Nonetheless, I find your insider views very informative.

Bimbo only get condescending when he has to repeat himself... He has said multiple times that Karinchak has a very good work ethic and gets along well with everyone.

Now that everyone I am sure agrees with his anti-vaxx stance, but politics is a different realm than how hard someone works and how well you can get along with someone... Since this is about baseball, the only opinion is about his attitude in the clubhouse and how hard he works

Not condescending, just frustrating that I take time out of my day to give everyone here nuggets on this tight lipped organization because this is, IMO, the most active forum for the Indians currently, but at times it seems they’re chosen to be ignored by people who then try to turn the conversation in the opposite direction to what I say.

If what I post is ignored or not believed I won’t share anymore. It’s not worth the professional risk at that point.

So yes, frustrated that I literally said his work ethic is incredible and his private social media/beliefs don’t come close to mirroring who he is a professional yesterday and here we are having a conversation about it again today.

Fair enough. FWIW, I’m certain everyone on this board deeply appreciates your insiders look at the Cleveland FO decision making process.

Any possibility of the Japanese-style "tacky" finish baseball being adopted any time soon?
I found the widespread use of sticky abhorrent, but this would certainly level the playing field and seems an excellent compromise.

Isn't there a rumor out there that MLB is looking into incorporating "pre-tacked" baseballs next season? Whatever happens there has to be some common ground.

@BimboColesHair got a question for you. I know Justin Garza isn't much of a prospect and this organization is deep in SP, but what do you think of him. I can't help but like his stuff and his easy delivery. Clearly he needs to limit the free passes better, but how do you view his future in MLB? Am I crazy to be intrigued by his pitching ability?

I feel like I need a reality check regarding him. I see the possibilities, but I wonder what the organization thinks.

Sorry, probably shouldn’t have gone there but @BimboColesHair intimated I had no reason to question Karinchak’s mental makeup. Anyway, I will remove my earlier comments.
I've questioned it too, but it had nothing to do with his posts on social media. Hell, I don't even know what he said, nor do I want to know. My thoughts stem from his anxiousness/quirkiness on the mound. It seems as big moments often eat him alive, but I also have to understand that he's young. I've said it before, often times when I express my opinion about players in this organization I honestly hope that I'm wrong. What Bimbo says gives me comfort that my thoughts about Karinchak's mound presence is not accurate. That's good news to me because clearly he is uber talented and could help this team have a formidable BP. It doesn't have to be a dick measuring contest. If it were @Lee would be the loser according to his own words.

There have been some whacko pitchers that weren't too shabby.

Mark (The Bird) Fidrych was crazy on the mound.

Tug McGraw could be....uh...entertaining.

And Oil Can Boyd...even when he wasn't on crack...was a fist pumping, high fiving, crazy man on the mound.

It takes all kinds.

Still relatively small samples, but interesting in any case.
Miller certainly looks more comfortable at the plate…

Could've had the players on that list....
