Naz Reid is not going to be a backup here for the MLE. I am not sure that is even realistic enough to discuss. Watanabe is interesting and a reasonable guy for the MLE or part of the MLE.
This. Wantabe is the one SF with size who is still young enough that he could develop into an above-average starter. Then use BAE on whichever stretch big you can get. Honestly, if the Nets managed their cap well, Wantabe wouldn't even be gettable with the MLE.

Detroit is also paying him a record 78.5 million over those six years. He better turn that culture around or else he's going to make a lot of money commenting on NBA TV at the end of his deal.

I continue to hope JBB just gives Walton more of a say in the offense and opens his mind to a faster pace and rotations with better space. An expert in this stuff sits right next to him. Our hoops Ted Lasso needs to listen to Wonderkid.
I hope whatever private conversations between JBB and the front office are occurring are, at a minimal, strongly suggestive that the offense needs to improve.

The Suns just hired Vogel and it's going to be a long-term contract. That one hurt.

JBB better fucking work, man.

I cant stand to see all these championship level coaches being picked up every other week/month.

When JBB gets to the unemployment line next year we'll see how fast he gets picked up.
Which is fair.

But honestly what makes you think that these organizations (some in which have won championships or competed for titles recently or are perennially contenders for their conference) can’t recognize what they have and hold onto these elite coaches ?
