Baker Mayfield: Fire The Cannons

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If Baker declines or stagnates from this year, I can guarantee with about 99% certainty we'll be drafting a QB next year. Teams just don't wait that long, and with a new staff in place, they aren't going to waste a couple years hitching themselves to a player from a past GM. I'd say Baker's got a year to prove himself here before the FO finds a replacement.
100% agree and they should. No ties to the coach or GM. With that said, I expect big dick Baker to show up and ball out.

I wish we could go after a decent QB project in this draft just to push Baker a bit more. Problem is the talent drops off considerably after the first three guys, IMO.

Mayfield is admittedly at his best when his back is against the wall. The likes of Garret Gilbert just doesn't cut it from a competitive standpoint.

So I got a text from a buddy of mine today. To my absolute astonishment, he says: "Baker Mayfield's side-chick was on the radio today."

Yes. As in, the local radio in Melbourne, Australia.

Apparently they interviewed her and she went through the whole charade. Said "the instructions were clear to avoid his wife. A car pulled up in all-black. She had to send Snaps to confirm that she was completely alone."

Then, the radio station used it as a segue for the next caller segment: "What have you done in the back seat of a car?"

I am in shock. Mostly because a) I have no idea how this is even relevant to Australian media and b) can not even understand how they got wind of this story and decided to interview this chick, considering the Browns and Baker are honestly irrelevant to this station's target audience. Very, very weird.

She probably sought it out. As I said before this is very likely the apex of excitement she’ll get in her life. She’s not really the type that the celebrities usually go for and even if she was this public tour of ‘look what I did’ would dissuade most

so this is pretty much it for the public spotlight so might as well go to Australian radio when people in the US move on

100 Years War

God wouldn't be great if this is what finally gets Grossi fired. Don't expect it to happen but just goes to show what is so wrong with the Cleveland media.

It is tough enough to sell guys on the city. The fact they have to deal with asshats like this in local media only makes it worse.

Of all things he has said, why would this be the fireable offense?
