Baker Mayfield: Fire The Cannons

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wait a second. Were you not the one that imagined the Bagel Mayfield concept? Thats why I tagged you.

If so and you 2’d your own joke...Tremendous
I've done worse

Are we really talking about the beer incident again?

Should @imwithdan and I rekindle the visor debate?
That is certainly more interesting since OBJ being taken out of that game was a true injustice.

Visors have continued to be discussed weekly in the NFL thread, considering nearly every NFL game has players wearing black visors, in addition to tinted ones.

Agree to disagree. I know as a society we decided to label pouring beer on a dude "assault" to dramatize the hell out of it (shocking), but I'm far more perturbed in today's day in age by people with a platform spreading false narratives.

Pouring a beer on someone is "assault" --- with the most aggressive of eye rolls.

Reporting a bold faced lie to the media to attack someone's character is literally the definition of slander.

Yes one is a crime and the other is a tort.

Assault is a crime, one punishable by prison, slander is a tort, the only retribution is to get civil damages in civil court. Baker can sue Sherman, proving its false will be easy, but proving he also had damages from the slander will be almost impossible.

Baker is the biggest problem with the offense right now. Let’s face it, this team will go as far as Mayfield will take them.

He needs to get his accuracy back. Nothing else matters until that’s fixed.

This. But I'm not letting Kitchens off the hook. I'm NOT blaming Freddie for Mayfied's struggles BTW. It's on Mayfield.

I am blaming Freddie though for continuing to run the offense around Baker, when he's playing at a really low caliber right now. And the line is pretty bad.

We should be playing through Chudd, and using Baker more off play action. We're utilizing Baker like he's a Tom Brady or something, and he's not even playing as a good QB right now, let alone someone like that.

I think we need to make things much more simple for Baker. Have the offense run through Chubb. This is not a great offense, surprise to all of us, but its not.

And that's mostly because the QB is struggling pretty bad. So start playing to the strength of the offense, and that's clearly Chubb right now. And utilizing Baker off play action more.

If we're going to continue to do the opposite, we are going to bottom out IMO. Baker might eventually be a good QB, but right now, he's not.

Not giving up him by any means. But he's regressed this season.
