Browns threads just become completely unbearable after losses. Jesus, what a shitshow in here.
It's way worse on other boards, and I mean way worse.

Mahomes didn't play as a rookie, Watson looked great as a rookie till he got injured, and goffs numbers his second year are basically equal to bakers first year.I just can't buy the "it's only his second year" excuse when there are many recent examples of quality young QBs (Wentz, Goff, Watson, Mahomes) who took huge leaps in their second seasons.
It's morning. Steak egg and cheese Bagel Mayfield sounds good. One so thicc you need a toothpick flag in the middle.2/10, but only cause I am not hungry.
If I re-read in the morning before I've eaten breakfast and actually want a bagel, probably 8/10.
It’s a valid point though. I’ve always been on the “Lamar is overrated and an average QB at best” train, but the fact is he is much, much better dealing with pressure and line breakdowns than Baker is this season. A lot of that is probably due to Jackson’s running ability, but Baker is panicking out there and consistently making poor decisions under pressure.
I get that dunking on Baker is the national pastime now, but shouldn't Ratbirds/Lamar fans sit this one out for now because, you know, scoreboard?
Color me shocked that the guy who is faster had a better rating under pressure...
WHO WOULD’VE KNOWN.
he’s still playing like complete and utter dog shit the last 3 weeks. just a middling QB at best going forward.

I had a huge post about this before the start of the season but most successful rookie quarterbacks do not improve from year 1 to 2.
Russell didn't, luck didn't, Prescott didn't, Newton didn't. Peyton manning got better in the he cut his interceptions in half (28 to 14) but the rest of his numbers were similar.
Manning, Russell, and Luck are the next 3 on most touchdowns by a rookie quarterback list.

What does being faster have to do with throwing the ball under pressure?
Because once Lamar is under pressure doesn’t mean he’s staying under pressure.
also about 75% of the time he is pressured he just takes off for a positive gain because his legs allow him too.
that seriously inflated his statistics in that regard.
