The Chubb-Hub Yardage Delivery Service

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Kamara signed with Bama out of college.

He was in the group that had Derrick Henry, TJ Yeldon and Kenyan Drake.

Asking out of curiosity, not to challenge, but what school is more "RBU" than Georgia's 5-7yr run they had?
how far back do you want to go? Oklahoma in the 70s and early 80s was routinely rushing for 400-500+ yards a game

Kind of miss that triple option. Different enough from everything else that was run that it made those games pretty unique. Service Academies still run it but they obvious aren't NC contenders.

Pertinent pull quotes:
"From the day Nick Chubb first entered our facilities, it was clear to see that he would become a pillar of our organization," said Andrew Berry, Browns EVP of Football Operations and General Manager. "Although Nick may be a man of few words whose strong-and-silent demeanor can be easy to overlook from the outside, his actions over the past three years have reverberated within the walls of our building. Nick's on-field contributions stand for themselves. He is a dynamic runner who is on pace to be one of the most accomplished players to ever don an orange helmet at the position. But it's his work ethic, intelligence, toughness and selflessness that makes us proud that he represents our city. Quite plainly, Nick embodies the soul of our team and we are thrilled that he will be a Cleveland Brown for years to come."
"A great player. An even better person," Browns Managing and Principal Partner Jimmy Haslam said. "(There are) very few people I have met like Nick Chubb."
"It means a lot to me to be able to stay in Cleveland and be a Brown," Chubb said. "It's an honor to put on the orange helmet and represent the city of Cleveland and these great fans. I'm happy that I will be able to be here for many more years. The Browns put their faith in me during the draft and I want to say thank you to everyone who believed in me and who has supported me. There is still a lot of work to do to continue to get better and become a better team."
"Nick Chubb is a tremendous football player, but an even better person," head coach Kevin Stefanski said. "He is one of the best examples of a team player that I've been around. Nick always puts the team before himself, and that's why you love seeing a guy like him get rewarded."

Pertinent pull quotes:
Nick Chubb is such a perfect Brown. Not to relate everything to LeBron, but it gets back to his "coming home" letter. Chubb works hard, leads by example, and earns everything he has. He did not give up after an injury, supports teammates at the same position, and never complains.

Chubb is going to go down as the second best running back in Browns history

Hasn't that already happened?

Leroy Kelly, Mike Pruitt, Greg Pruitt, Kevin Mack all ahead of him in rushing

I would say Leroy Kelly and Mike Pruitt for sure, if Chubb isnt ahead of the other 2, he will be years end, probably passes Mike Pruitt on the greatest list (not yards), but Leroy Kelly was awfully good too.

Its a matter of time, but the Browns do have a very storied franchise, but Chubb should be considered #2 in the next 2 years or so.

Almost impossible to be #1 though.

Sometimes you get the feeling that people are just saying nice things about someone because that's what they're supposed to say. But I think comments like this one from Jimmy: "(There are) very few people I have met like Nick Chubb" are actually heartfelt. And Jimmy didn't say "very few players" - he said "very few people", which is a pretty extraordinary statement. Jimmy likely has rubbed elbows with shitloads of successful businesspeople, entertainers, politicians, athletes, etc., and I imagine it is extraordinarily rare to find someone who has been the center of a particular kind of universe for years who has maintained the kind of genuine humility, work ethic, etc., that Nick Chubb has.

AB and Stefanski said basically the same thing as well. It makes it so much better to root for a team when you actually respect the players just as human beings and not just as athletic marvels.
