The Curious Case of Bryan Colangelo

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't see Colangelo lasting long in Philly even if this twitter mess blows over. Coach isn't happy waiting to go after free agents until 2019 or later (as Colangelo wants) and Embiid doesn't like him. Philly media and fans are going to tear into him like sharks after a fast.

When Philly loves you, they take care of you.

When Philly hates you, they take care of you.

Way too many coincidences.

Team is firing BC, and hiring Griffin to lure in LeBron. Conspiracy ish, but makes sense.

The only way this makes any sense as a frame job is if Pusha T was behind all the burner accounts. The Sam Hinkie apologist angle is intriguing because many people supported "the process" and even those who didn't couldn't stomach Silver's interference in the organizations decision making but made even worse with the nepotism involved with Jerry hiring his son.

I can open a burner account and follow Koby's family member's, friends, former teammates too but how would I know to follow the CEO of a company he had 25% stakes in? Sure, it's still somewhat possible for someone to obtain his financial records but if the team can corroborate the "strategic leaks" (trading up for 1st overall to draft Fultz one full month before the draft), the personal stuff (Fultz family/trainer) and Okafor really did fail multiple physical (hence why he wasn't traded) then it's near impossible for it to be anyone outside of the current FO at the very least if not Bryan Colangelo himself.

I can personally understand (if true) his annoyance with Embiid's public loyalty to Hinkie, and they've clearly not been able to have an honest conversation but what the hell happened between Bryan and Masai Ujiri. Was he upset the Masai went back to work with the franchise he started out with in Denver or that he eventually replaced him in Toronto? Something certainly went south there but damn, not sure you can come back from this at all.

This doesn't make any sense for Colangelo to have done. It seems more Mike someone figured out his incognito acct, maybe even fished out the IP, then created the burners and used a VPN to make it look like they all came from the same place. I just don't see what he gains from any of it. Unless they find the phone(s) used and they braking to Bryan, this just seems like a setup to me.

The thing that makes me question the whole thing is the “source” saying he works in “artificial intelligence” and this is what he used to deduce it being BC.

However, a frame job usually isn’t this thorough. The accounts friended BC’s sons and teammates? Org. Staff as minor as ticket sales people?

Sounds like someone in the org or close to BC.

Then there’s the phone numbers and emails linked to the accounts.

I’m leaning 60/40 it’s BC.
Uh... A frame job would be that thorough. In fact, if Colangelo was just making accounts to talk shit- why follow anyone? That seems like something one would do if you were making something to set him up. That, to me, is proof these are bullshit.

I guess you’re right. If I were trying to “legitimize” the framing, I would look for those details.

The VPN and all that...you’re right, easily do-able...

That said, some of the “coincidences” that would’ve had to occur are just too improbable. One of the accounts crapping on the D-league team’s jerseys the day Bryan is at the game? Who knows the guys every move and daily schedule?

Like I said, it’s him or someone in the org. Someone with access to his computer, accounts, etc. Someone with access to sensitive team information, as well.

Edit: and this.

“The Sixers told reporter Ben Detrick that another account—@AlVic40117560, aka “Eric jr”—was not connected to Colangelo. But when Detrick asked about those two Twitter accounts, three other accounts a source said were connected to Colangelo—@Honesta34197118, aka Honest Abe, @Enoughunkownso1, aka Enough Unknown Sources, and @s_bonhams, aka Still Balling—were promptly locked down.“

The latest rumor is that it’s Bryan’s wife running the accounts.

Apparently her being Italian nationality would explain some of the linguistic quirks.

But who would’ve out’d her?

If this whole crazy ordeal gets even weirder, it'll be Bryan's gay lover that outed him and his wife

Plausible.
