Is he covering the Cavs still? Maybe he should stick to that if so. Dude has been awful with his Browns and Indians takes.
He's the Editor-in-Chief of The Athletic. Since taking that position, he's been writing stories about all three teams but more on a macro level rather than that of a beat writer. Pretty sure that once James bounced again, Lloyd was approached about covering him in Los Angeles but didn't want to uproot his family.

I genuinely feel like some of you have already forgotten what things were like pre-Dorsey.

Even good GMs make mistakes. You’d think CLEVELAND BROWNS fans would give a good regime a larger margin for error than other fan bases based on what we’ve gone through. Alas, we have morons who want to go back to that beautiful merry go round of incompetence.

Not to mention John Dorsey is the first executive we have had who has successfully reigned in the Haslams and kept them in the corner where an owner belongs.

I’m far more frustrated by the idiotic segment of our fanbase than the team right now.
This.

I'm in a work cycle where I don't get to voice/post my opinion much, but I do get to read people's comments and takes. I fully understand people are disappointed in the 2-4 start and I agree we could have and should have won at least one or 2 of those games, and the SF debacle was a total embarrassment. Baker has certainly had a sophomore slump and the OL is a big part of that, but a lot of it is on Baker himself. Freddie has also shown some rookie HC mistakes and the penalties and team discipline problems are especially troubling and the buck stops with Freddie for those things. I agree that if both Baker and Freddie were more on top of their jobs we probably would have definitely pulled out at least 2, maybe 3 of those wins.

Having said that... where this team is at this moment in time needs to be put in perspective. We do have some serious holes in the talent level of our OLine and there is definitely a domino effect. I think Baker still has a huge learning curve ahead of him and it remains to be seen if he will make the proper adjustments but it looked to me like he made some good progress in the Seattle game. Freddie has been crucified and while there is lots of room for criticism some of the attacks towards him have been ridiculous.

As long as Baker can stay healthy and make the right adjustments (get rid of the ball, see and take advantage of open routes, make calculated risks only at certain times and don't force things as often) he still stands to be a stud performer at his position as he progresses. I absolutely believe he is the kind of guy who will break through and who will be not just good, but great.

I believe in Freddie as well, and Dorsey also. I'm going to violate forum protocol and say that some of the so-called fans making personal and childish attacks on him are pieces of shit in my opinion. I think those so-called fans have a loser mentality and a lack of perspective and patience, and I am looking forward to seeing them eat crow when it comes to the HC and QB of this team.

This might be an unpopular opinion but Jason Lloyd comes off like an insufferable prick in his radio appearances. Just a cloud of negativity surrounding that guy.

It feels like he broaches each and every topic with one thing in mind.... "What's the dreariest ending I can find?"

IF the Browns ever win the Super Bowl, he'll find a way to get the article to cascade down just far enough to remind you that shit is going to suck... bad.. eventually.
There will be impending doom. There always is.

Not gonna lie this whole Baker is Fat thing is getting annoying. Not even gonna go into the whole different body types and Gene's thing but come on...its even factual and known he is now using a larger and thicker flac jacket.

Baker Came in at 6'1 and 215. In the NFL...

Let's say he did come in 10-15 pounds heavier this year...Which I guess is all fat cause someone somehow here got to him and got his body fat percentage.. cause i guess adding muscle mass 100% wont make you look thicker....

We all know he isn't label as Athletic, yet we can all agree he isnt a cement footed statue too. So what's the big deal?

Is a huge problem for similarly heighted qbs? Most qbs are in the 225-260 range. They take punishment and NFL hits... I dont mind Baker adding 10-15lbs of mass.

Like Stafford at 6'3 232
Or Rodgers at 6'2 225
Dak at 6'2 226
Trubisky at 6'2 225
Jimmy g at 6'2 225
Fitz at 6'2 225
Mahomes 6'2 225
Watson 6'2 221

Hell this isn't mentioning the 250 plus big bens and Allen's and Newtons of the world. (Ofcourse taller)

But you still have 5'10 kyler Murrays and 6ft Brees' over/around 210...

Just not sure how or why people are making such a big deal about a young kid and QB filling out more in his second season in the NFL. Especially when he is one of the Smaller Qb's height and weight wise coming in last year.

Such a big deal that ignorant, no actual fact, snarky comments about something pretty irrelevant has to come up every few pages or Every game thread.

To those that do keep making this remark. Explain to me how its affecting his play this year. How it affects his reads and adjustments, how its hurting our uber athletic qb and hampering his running and scrambling aspect of his game which I guess is a huge part of his game..just explain why it is such a problem.

And not the well, he is thicker, so obviously he just ate wings all summer and got married and OBVIOUSLY didn't even attempt to work on his craft this offseason and how he is just a fat fuck to match our fat fuck hillbilly coach.

My favorite out-of-shape star QB photos, although it might be the camera angle:
