The Game (2021) | #2 Ohio State @ #5 TTUN | November 27th, 2021 @ High Noon

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Huge mistake by the Auburn runner to let himself get taken out of bounds.

Here’s the positive spin:

1) It was a great run, our best streak in the rivalry, and it was gonna end some time. I think I’ll take it over another SEC loss, which feels like blasphemy but I have faith that we won’t let Harbaugh take over the rivalry long term.
2) This is a YOUNG team. We needed several freshman to step up just to field a defense and there were some bright spots even if it’s clear we need to move on in the coaching staff. Can’t wait to see what JT, Sawyer, Burke, etc. accomplish in years to come. Stroud is legit and we have Ewers in the wings. Henderson broke a record as a freshman. While we are losing Olave and Wilson we have immense talent in the WR room, so the future remains bright.
3) Perhaps, like the Oregon game, this wake up call leads to better decisions with the defense. Of course there wasn’t much we could do mid season, but now’s our chance to make a real change and hopefully it’s a long term fit.

Edit: just to add to the point re: youth. Some have noted that this team was terribly inconsistent. The lows were two clear, non-fluke losses, but the highs were spectacular this season (MSU first half was perfection, to do this the next week was wild). Next year I expect us to strike back against that team up north.

Don’t get me wrong, if you win you get to talk shit.

But if this is a shot at Day by Harbaugh, it’s an awful take. Day played LB and QB at New Hampshire, then took 9 different jobs in 14 years before landing the OSU OC job.

Harbaugh was the son of a college coach.

If one of these guys was born on 3rd, it wasn’t Day.
