The Game (2022) | #2 Ohio State vs. #3 TTUN | November 26th, 2022 @ High Noon

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Guys Mccord was a 5 star if I recall. Brown is a supreme talent as well. Not even factoring in the kid they’re bringing in 2023.

Think the room is much better than solid.
You nauled it, Buckeyes in a great spot QB wise. McCord and MH2 were the Mike Evans/Johnny Manziel of Pennsylvania high school football. I think they can replicate that here. The WR room is full of top talent that is content to stay here. Braden looks like he has the balls to be the stud that Treveon will never be. Bucks future is bright as always, it's why fans are so riled up over these losses.

Mccord and Brown were both the #6 ranked QB in each of their classes. Lincoln Kienholz was the #14 ranked QB in this most recent class. He is from South Dakota so he hasnt played against other top tier talent so there are question marks of how good he is.
I’m going to assume “#6 rated QB in the class” is not being used as a negative here, because if it is, goddam we are spoiled.

As for Kienholz, he’s widely considered underrated. But sure, certainly questions about competition he faced. Day clearly wanted him badly, though, and so far he seems to be pretty good at this picking quarterbacks thing.

The WR talent brought in 2023 looks to be another disgusting haul. So no worries there. As for RB: Still think Treveyon can bounce back next season. Pryor should be healthy too, and I know he is extremely talented just had the unfortunate injury.

It’s completely disingenuous too. McCord was a top 30 overall player in the entire country while Brown was top 50 overall in his class.

Definitely not a negative. I think they might be a tier below Stroud who was #2. I've said before that you might actually get more out of a QB in college that they aren't being looked at as one of the best QBs in the NFL draft. I think Stroud has been such an arm talent and polished that he never had to really struggle to create offense. I think it's one of the reasons he never developed his running even though he was clearly athletic enough to gain yards with his legs.

A tier below Stroud maybe in ranking, but they can be just as good or even better ultimately. These rankings are far from absolute templates for these kids careers as you know lol

Right they can definitely develop under Day. I think we have a good group to roll with going forward. I think as passers we don't really have to worry about who Day recruits and he will be able to keep developing them. I don't think Day will get them to run anymore than they were comfortable with in HS.
