The Jarvis Landry Thread: Bless 'Em

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
To be honest, I would have been pretty okay with the Browns hiring Stefanski, McDaniels, or Saleh. They all seemed like they had the potential to be good head coaches. McDaniels I think had the most red flags but is obviously a great offensive mind. I think ultimately they went away from him because of those red flags and because he basically wanted the organization to tear it all down and start over from scratch, which we just can't keep doing every other fucking year.

I was in the exact same boat. Stefanski was ultimately the guy I wanted, but I would have been just fine with either of those other two, as well. Honestly, I think all three are going to be terrific head coaches in this league.

Not trying to get TOO far off topic in the Landry thread, but I'm overall impressed and encouraged by the way the Browns conducted their search this year. They took their time and narrowed the field to three outstanding candidates, and appear to be doing the same with their GM search.

Let's see how they handle free agency and the draft. They've got several holes on that line that need to be plugged, and I'm hoping that with Dorsey gone, they'll be bringing back the likes of Schobert, Higgins, and Njoku.

We definitely got pretty lucky that other organizations got their guys super early and they were guys that we weren't particularly interested in. Rhule wasn't coming to Cleveland anyway, so no big deal there. The Giants apparently hired the first guy to pick up the phone after Rhule spurned them. The Cowboys are the only team that got a guy we actually interviewed, but I don't think McCarthy was ever really in play here even though I think he definitely could be a good coach going forward if he truly has adapted to the modern game.

It left us playing with house money and all we had to do was not fuck it up and hire the Bills' OC or some dude off the street that a homeless guy recommended.

I'm particularly interested to see what Rhule does, but I'm glad the Browns didn't even get so much as an interview with him (or Riley/Urban). Let some other team hire the next up and coming college coach.

This dude was tearing up the skills competitions. Man he has some crazy hands.

He also beat out a running back at precision passing.
