Sure Conk gets to the 2nd level, but all i can see is the pull kick out block executed perfectly by Bitonio, lol He knocks out one player, and another delays just because of the threat of his presense. The delay allows Chubb to cut and blow by all the players.

I want to see an entire drive of quarterback sneaks, from beginning until the end zone. Burn up an entire quarter.
Ran a similar strategy in Madden 2002 against a college roommate who refused to run anything except the same 4-3 two LB blitz play over and over again (was unstoppable against computer opponents). Hilarious watching him lose his mind as I took 3 yards every play, went for every 4th down and couldn’t be stopped. He called me a cheater to which I told him to try running a different defensive play.

Would totally work in real football

Really excited to see what Stefanski does when we get Watson back. I've seen enough wrinkles to the game plan with Brissett to see him tailoring the offense to his strengths - look at the short yardage package playing off his QB sneak threat, which was completely different than with Baker, who was an awful qb sneaker.

Watson, however, excels in spread, empty formations, something that has been confirmed that the Browns are looking into full well. I imagine the traditional offense will be a lot of 11 formation looks with hunt or Chubb motioning out wide, then Watson gets to pick his matchup. I'd imagine it looks significantly different on week 13, and I'm excited to see what Stefanski draws up.

I've been critical of KS at various points of the past few seasons. But what I'm seeing now in how he's managing Brissett and the offense is nothing short of masterful. We'll see how it stands up as we go against the higher ranked teams in a few weeks but I'm hopeful our offense can hold their own. Our defense on the other hand... scares the hell out of me.

Rough game today… Gotta love using Njoku on an end around when you have an Olympic sprinter you never use for anything else. You’d think an end around would be better suited for the Olympic sprinter.

I want to take away our TEs so bad so he won't be able to use them.

Kevin is usually pretty even-keeled in his postgame press conferences, but he sounded a little frustrated yesterday, which is rare for him. He knows there were a couple play calls he messed up.

Kevin's red zone offense was bad yesterday but aside from that, we moved the ball pretty effectively - enough to where we were put in the position to score points, we just didn't punch it in. They took away our screens and loaded the box all day - forcing us to look deep.

That said, the people calling for a change at OC duties (or worse) need to pound salt. He's been masterful with this offense all year until yesterday. The defense and ST continue to struggle and could have easily picked them up yesterday.

I think you're right.

I too would like to have seen different things in the red zone, but at the same time if you're looking at the Falcons defense, they have two players--Grady Jarrett and AJ Terrell--who are absolutely elite at their positions. A good offensive game plan probably avoids those two, so I can see why "Just run it up the middle!" isn't something we'd look for, no matter how much fans clamor for it.

There were multiple screens where Brissett's limitations snuffed them out. One to Hunt and one to Njoku are glaring examples where a more athletic QB probably makes those dump-offs while our backup cannot.

Honestly, the way AVP and Stefanski have handled the offense this year is one of the bright points of the team for me. I'm significantly more confident in them than I was heading into the season.

Guy sucks
My biggest concern for the team and the coaching staff coming into this year was the offense. I have a preference for the "CEO" style head coaches who leave the offense up to their offensive coordinator, and Stefanski does not do that.

I was concerned about the way Stefanski and AVP would run an offense for Deshaun Watson. After all, Watson in open sets is the most efficient QB in the history of football. Yet, Stefanski has always preferred multiple tight ends and to run the ball. Then you add Brissett for 11 games, and I assumed we'd be getting more of the Chubb-Hunt, two-tight-end sets that have worked for the first two years of Stefanski's tenure in Cleveland.

I am absolutely floored with how well the coaching staff have handled the offense this year. The play calls are terrific. We're one of the best offenses in football with a backup at the helm, and we've effortlessly moved into these open, spread sets that Watson will thrive in when he returns. It's truly been beautiful to watch.

We've used more motion-at-the-snap and pre-snap motion.

We've schemed ways to get playmakers like Amari Cooper open.

We're doing things like that sexy Njoku screen that Brissett couldn't complete the throw on--where we motioned a tight end into formation to seemingly block a blitzer, and then caught the defense with their pants down.

And we're doing all of this while having the greatest rushing attack in football, by an enormous margin.

When you look at the two teams last night, with arguably the top two young play callers in the NFL (McVay and Shanahan), Stefanski has been head-and-shoulders better than each of them this season.

At this point, the only team I would still put ahead of us in terms of offensive play calling and execution is KC.

Stefanski and AVP have done a heck of a job. I am absolutely giddy to see what this offense can do with Watson at the helm.

You play to win the game. Not get meaningless PFF stats.

I dont care if we had the worst offense if we were 4-0. Only stat that matters is Ws

With the schedule coming up, if we had the worst offense in the league your misleading 4-0 would soon become 4-13.

Context matters. “You play to win the game” and “only stat that matters is Ws” are meaningless statements that cater to laziness versus thoughtful analysis.
