The King is at it Again

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I would be absolutely thrilled with 3.0. It serves our needs and Lebron's needs -- he is the best quickest route to being a true contender we have, and we are the only place he could go where the championship would be seen as adding to his legacy instead of cheap ring chasing.

The only thing in the way is the endless bitching and whining among a certain subset of Cavs fans about Lebron. His sins are leaving us in 2010 after 7 years where we did an absolutely historically horrible job of providing him with a championship-worthy team and just relied on him to bring us deep into the playoffs singlehandedly, and then leaving us in 2018 after bringing us to four straight NBA Finals and a championship. If that's supposed to be the fucking problem then PLEASE GIVE ME MORE OF IT!

Right. I can’t imagine living in a world where you’d rather be mad at LeBron than give your team the best opportunity to win.

Listening to Larry Doby Jr. during yesterday's Tribe game, and it stood out the respect Sr. had for Jr. and doing his own thing, supporting but not pushing him into baseball, and later giving instruction when he knew Jr. was serious of wanting to play the game. Doby Jr said his dad was away a lot between playing and managing during the summers he was growing up.

From my 2,000 mile away view it seems like LeBron has always had this thought of playing until Bronny is old enough to be in the league and playing with him, and some team will draft him to do just that.

Seeing Marcus Jordan while he was down at UCF, Michael didn't force him to go to UNC. There never seemed to be a high pressure on Marcus to become something he was not. Maybe since his dad was already retired. Will Bronny be given time for him to develop and grow into what he can become, or rushed with his dad's timeline?

I remember Ken Griffey Jr. and Sr. playing together back in '90. That was a special time. It is cool seeing the lineage of Tatis, Guerrero, Bichette, etc playing as I watched their dads growing up. It feels a little different in baseball. Hitting back to back 3s isn't as momentous as back to back HRs.

this is the only way it works. We can't dump all our assets trying to get him this year. He historically has not forced his way off teams either.
If they have the money to else him into Loves money and then bring Kevin back on an exception, that’s the dream scenario.
2 year deal for LBJ and Love. One can dream …

If Kyrie to Lakers ends up happening your dreams will be crushed.

Putting everyone who doesn't want him back into this same box is unfair. I personally think the kind of basketball his team's play has become less and less enjoyable to watch as he's gotten older.

I enjoyed last year's regular season more than LBJ's last run here with the exception of post-deadline regular season 2015, and the 2016 playoffs.

What exactly do the Fakers have to offer the Nets in return for Kyrie?

I think the Lakers move Westbrook and AD at the same time while the Nets move Kyrie and Durant. I could see AD going to the Nets and Durant going to another team. A multi team trade where Kyrie ends up with the Lakers with additional assets. Westbrook ends up on a tanking team and gets bought out.

I'm about ready for all these dudes to retire.

Basically, the 27 and 29 FRP's.
That’s not enough to get Kyrie and taking Westbrook means the Nets would have to send salary back to the Lakers. The Nets want to send Joe Harris’ $38 million salary to the Lakers but the Lakers want Seth Curry’s expiring contract.

Very interesting. Never thought of it that way.
I’m certainly not rooting against the kid—in fact, for being the son of a larger than life celebrity, it sounds like he has a decent head on his shoulders.

I just think he’s more maxed out than the usual (should be) 3-star recruit.

My guess is that:

1) Lebron signs a 2 year extension in August for as much money as he can get with a player option or ETO in 2024-25, I forgot how the rules work here.
2) Bronny Jr goes for a college that is likely to make the tourney and emphasizes smart team play over incredible athleticism
3) Bronny Jr has an above average rookie season
4) Lebron lets everyone know that if you draft his son, you get him
5) Unless LA is back in contention for a title in 2024, Lebron opts out to join his son
