I think Osman looked like he could be a really good 2-way role player when not asked to do too much when he was playing minutes before LeBron left.

He obviously is limited in that, he's not a primary ball handler, not even a secondary one. But he's still very young, a very hard worker, has some real skills, etc. If you can build the stars around Osman, he can contribute to winning. I'm convinced of that.

I think Cedi has the potential to be more than a role player. I just think Lue and the front office screwed up the timing to develop him properly. I think they had the opportunity to give Cedi the minutes needed for the light to turn on and the game to slow down for Cedi in his first season. Lue just wasn't willing to deal with it.

If he came into his second season with the game slowed down for him, he would have been more ready to take advantage of the minutes and opportunities that were open to him. I think he could have tighten up his handles and been given the opportunity to play himself into a secondary ball handler.

I think he is ready for those opportunities now but KPJ and Garland were drafted and it's a harder road to get those possessions to work on his game.

It might be we look back at Cedi as player that the organization missed giving chances and his development path was just a year too late to develop him to his max potential.

Cedi is fine. Needs to be more aggressive if anything. He can play the 3 and defend it fine. It was when he was playing the 4 that he was getting beat up and outmuscled. He wasn't able to do that at an NBA level last year. Same reason these ideas that Windler should be playing small ball 4 are premature.

I only went to two games last year, but in both Cedi was burned defensively while covering for other players mistakes. Sexton for example would lose his man and Cedi would try to adjust, which put him out of position..

I think Osman is a very well rounded player. Good vision, decent handles, good shooting form and a high BB IQ. He is a moderate athlete in the NBA... He will never be Kawhi Leonard, but I think he is a sixth man level guy. On a team with three superstars, he would be a perfect glue guy..

All of the injuries too last year made him play out of position at times. I really don't want him at PF again. I think he took it personal to try and be the main guy too because of the poor roster and again injuries. He will fit better in a good system with a clear role and if that happens and Beilein manages his and the other player's minutes well, he should have more energy to play both ways.

12 shot attempts already. is he good? improved?

Turkey beat France 74 – 69 in a preparation game ahead of the 2019 World Cup that took place in Pau, France.
Cedi Osman scored 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 26:04

Great performance considering France's very solid starting 5 of Heurtel/Fournier/Batum/Moerman/Gobert. Cedi the only NBA guy for Turkey (Korkmaz having signed with Fenerbahce)

Furkan Korkmaz officially re-signed with the Philadelphia 76ers not Fenerbahçe

I wish the Cavs would have tried to get him. I think with Cedi and the fact that the 76ers declined his option last year, we would have had a real good shot at signing him.
