Thanks for sharing how Cedi is doing. I will get to see Cedi against Hachimura and Japan this weekend once fiba match starts. On side note Hachimura has played exceptionally well with his jumper from outside showing amazing confidence (31 the other day with some 3s and long shots).

I had to look it up. They 4eally are essentially the same coat of arms. Perhaps Serbia regards themselves as the spiritual heir to the byzantine empire.

Actually I was married on the 529th anniversary of the Fall of Constantinople (which took place on May 29th). It ended about as well as it did for Constantine XI.

Cedi is currently eligible for an extension, I'm assuming (and hoping) that the Cavs are on-board and will work on it during training camp (Nance signed his in October last year), otherwise, we could lose him next summer, too talented to let him walk for nothing.

Why isn't anyone putting his highlights together anymore?

People are too busy making Rui Hachimura highlights I guess. He seems to be the star of this year's fiba exhibition games so far

Turkey vs Japan is starting...

Cedi vs Hachimura will be excited to watch.

This is some bs. Cedi had 6 points on 3/5 shooting in the first quarter with a team-best + 16 +/- playing 10 minutes, then gets I think zero playing time in the second quarter. I guess it's because he had 2 fouls but still.
This coach for Turkey sucks lol.
Edit Cedi has been kind of disappointing in the second half missing a couple of shots badly. He should reconsider doing these tourneys I don't think it is doing him any favors. He finished the quarter strong though with a couple of nice drives.
His jumper has been inconsistent in Fiba play this year. It seems like he can drive inside whenever he wants though.

Hachimura has not been super impressive he's drawing fouls and making his free frows but is shooting poorly from the field.
Final edit Cedi finished with 12 points (3rd highest on his team) on 6//11 shooting in 22 minutes with a +23 +/-. Like I said his jumper was off today which prevented him from having a high scoring game. They also don't seem to let him do much, he stands in the corners a lot.

Just watched Cedi and Turkey versus Japan.

Cedi as usual played well slashing to the basket and made number plays at the rim which made it feel easy and even the reverse layups felt easy. Cedi though struggled from outside where at least 2 did not hit anything. It felt very forced but understand he was probably trying to create himself but poor execution. He was not looking to be the star in the game and looked for others to shoot and play the game. Cedi is though great in slashing to the basket which he showed during the regular season but he really needs to work on his outside game consistently. I believe that is what he was trying to do but just did not execute from outside tonight. Cedi himself was a bit disappointed in himself today even though looking at the box score stats it looks decent but he knows he needs to execute from outside.

Turkey’s strategy was basically to not let Hachimura score and force others to shoot. Hachimura was very timid and did not shoot the ball for the first number of minutes. He did not have the same confidence he was showing in the other FIBA games and was more passing or even standing at some plays rather than creating plays for himself or finding ways to get the ball. Had one spectacular left handed dunk over Ilyasova though. At some possessions Rui could have received the ball but the team was just very conservative and did not give him the ball. Got to give some credit to Turkey’s defense though.

On a side note former Cavalier Semih Erden plays for Turkey.

I will see how Cedi does in these next games.
