I don't think that saying that maybe Cedi should get a couple of more shot/offensive opportunities if he starts the game off pretty hot and other teammates are struggling, is complaining about his role.
I also don't understand why players having superfans annoys people, especially mods. Like is it that hard to scroll past them, and or put them/me on your ignore list if they/I sully your RCF experience so much?
It just seems like calling them out publically is the wrong way to go about things, and will make them feel less welcome on the site, but maybe that's the goal idk.
Maybe I have them on ignore, but I haven't seen anybody respond inappropriately to anyone in here. Disagreeing is allowed.

I don't think it is weird to give the guy who is leading in + - and is shooting well a couple of more shots. He has been playing well especially on defense. Guys are missing him open on the perimeter and on the break

I don't think he is going to blossom and his natural talents maximuzed with the Cavs... He is more fitted with the Spurs system or a team like Denver with a Jokic who likes to reward slashers with easy baskets...

He is doing fine. Just needs to touch the ball more often not to lose his rhythm and force bad shots due to the feeling that he won't get the ball again for some time. impressive 3pt % and disappointing ft % but it is too early to conclude on either. Probably both will balance out.

From Chris Fedor's Q & A column today:

"With Osman on the floor, the Cavs have an offensive rating of 112.3. The number plummets to a horrid 92.5 without him."

Part of that is when Cedi sits down he's replaced by Kevin Porter Jr, who's just dipping his toes in the NBA waters after a very short college career. Also, Cedi is playing with Love, TT, and Sexton a lot and those are the team's top scorers along with Clarkson.

Beilein has been complimentary about Cedi's defense so far, so he's off to a good start. This looks like it will be easily his best season, especially if he doesn't have to play a lot of 4 like he did last year when Love and Henson were out and TT missed 39 games, forcing Nance to the 5.

That contract is looking pretty good right about now.

3 & D wings are extremely valuable

If this team turns the corner in the next couple years, Cedi will be a driving factor

Cedi had a lot of time to play, chance to test his skills in new positions, and was kinda the leader or the primary go-to guy last season. That was a bit overwhelming for him and I thought he would do better as a second or third option on the court.

This season Love and TT are back and Cedi still finds himself among the starters. Yet, his offensive role is limited to running the court and getting fixated on the corner. On most times, he doesn't even touch the ball. Neither does he make any attempt to make space for himself.

Do you guys think that this is the new role defined by the coach or is this because he lacks confidence due to his declining role? Maybe he would do better in the second unit as Delly is a fair distributor and the second unit needs a decent option rather than going to Clarkson all the time?

Sorry if these are matters that everyone knew. Have not been in the forum since last season.

I think his best role is a utility player, he's best when his main focus is defense and shooting threes. He just doesn't have the skillset to consistently create in the half count, but does well attacking in transition. He's going to be a fantastic role player similar to Danny Green or Robert Covington. Type of jack of all trades, but only truly excels in that 3 & D role.

He seems to be playing with the most confidence right now than any other point in his NBA career. The Cavs get a couple stars, Cedi is exactly the player you want next to a Lebron James or any superstar.

I think he said he is more comfortable in this role than the one he was in last year. I do think as time goes on his opportunities will go up. Beilein is still trying to figure out his rotation. I think Cedi is taking this time to work on his defense.

I think once some of the vets are traded, Cedi will regain some of his roles on offense.

Cedi doing a nice job of finding his spots to shine tonight, and his defense was aces.

People were critical of his role but I feel its the perfect role for him
