Im sorry, but it time to replace Cedi with Porter....What a horrible night for Cedi.
Not as bad as it looked. The Cavs were +3 in his 32 minutes on the floor which means they were -15 in the 16 minutes he was on the bench. He didn't stuff the stat sheet but he wasn't hurting the team, either.

Porter was 7-for-19, missing 12 shots, and was a -8. His shots weren't falling but he kept jacking them up. He did have 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and a couple of steals so he wasn't awful, but we needed him and Love to shoot a little better.

Porter got his layup blocked a couple of times. I wonder if opponents are noticing on video that he likes to hang in the air and shoot on the way down when he gets to the rim. The Pelicans were having none of that.

How do you expect a Garland,Sexton,Porter lineup to work? You do understand you need low usage guys on offense right? 3 ball dominant players that are all undersized for their position? No thanks.

The move is to either replace Garland or Sexton with Porter.

Not to mention that there's no point having Love in the game if the ball is not in his hands a lot.

Cedi will be replaced hopefully by our first pick in the draft,,,although looking at the players available I'm not sure who that would be.
I don't want to see them go smaller, and they need a player willing to defer to others and let them get their rhythm.

Cedi sucks man

Cedi sucks man

Sucks is pretty harsh.
I think he would look much better on a lot of other teams. I do think he plays a role that we currently need. And for whatever it's worth he is still better than some players that are proposed to play ahead of him...even in a vacuum. Since it's not a vacuum, he sitll needs to start until we get Windler and/or/if we pick a wing in the upcoming draft. Cedi let's others do their own thing, and if we add Porter into the mix we may see total chaos.

Osman is not a starter level player. He has one or two plays every game where you just scratch his head and say wtf?!? For a touted european player who is 3 years in the league, he makes bad decisions. Bad entry passes, poor finishing, bad decisions during the break, poor shooting, etc. I think he's better off the bench.

Sorry… He’s just not good. He was just another inflated player on the forum that everybody wanted to cling to because of his hustle and because he seems to be a nice guy. And his head and shoulders commercial .

Is Cedi gassed already? Shot has been off.

Cedi is more effective in a running, uptempo offense than in half-court situations. He's better in the open floor. He had two beautiful fast break buckets last night. JBB has been trying to get the Cavs to play with a faster tempo and that should benefit Cedi going forward.

He's definitely a liability in the half-court game, though, and his defense is pretty bad. His defensive rating was near the bottom of the league last year.

With Windler hopefully ready to go next year and with Larry Nance Jr's new-found ability to thrive at the 3, Cedi really needs to pick up his game if he wants to get significant minutes next year. He seems to be the odd man out. I could see the Cavs using him as a chip to trade up in the draft this year if they end up picking #3 or lower.

Love is not part of the equation for me.
Wanna see the young guys grow without being detrimental to each other or the team because of overlapping tendencies/skillsets.
As long as the Cavs are paying him something like $30 million he's going to be part of the equation. I don't think he's inhibiting the growth of the players you mentioned. He's not taking minutes from any of them.

Cedi should not be starting anymore. He’s a selfish player and mediocre defender. He’s great at hitting open 3s where he doesn’t have to move, but otherwise, is a pretty average shooter too. I hope he gets benched the second everyone is healthy.
