Cedi had a lot of time to play, chance to test his skills in new positions, and was kinda the leader or the primary go-to guy last season. That was a bit overwhelming for him and I thought he would do better as a second or third option on the court.
This season Love and TT are back and Cedi still finds himself among the starters. Yet, his offensive role is limited to running the court and getting fixated on the corner. On most times, he doesn't even touch the ball. Neither does he make any attempt to make space for himself.
Do you guys think that this is the new role defined by the coach or is this because he lacks confidence due to his declining role? Maybe he would do better in the second unit as Delly is a fair distributor and the second unit needs a decent option rather than going to Clarkson all the time?
Sorry if these are matters that everyone knew. Have not been in the forum since last season.
On a second unit he would have more attention of the defense and he would have to create himself, which he really cannot do much. I also think he cannot handle taking responsibility, leading the team because of self-confidence issues.
I think his role is good now. He is contributing regularly. The coach should find more ways to involve him in the game.
