How can he be a starting 2? He can't dribble worth a lick, soon as he puts the ball down its a turnover.

We have seen him play better before. I do agree he needs to work on his handle.

He is a system guy, not a scrub... Energy guy, good on the open court and cutting/moving without the ball in his hands... If the system is not fitted to his strengths (like making him do iso & spot up shooter), he reverts to being mediocre at best...

He's not a consistent enough 3 point shooter at this point to be a starter even in a good system. I gave Lue a lot fo flack for not playing him during Lebron's time here but I think he was right now.

One of the defining games of his career was when we were down big against the Sixers and Cedi was given a chance and played well to help a furious Cavs comeback. However in the last 2 minutes the Sixers adjusted and made him the outlet man on offense and Cedi could not hit the open 3 that was generated by the offense. Lue kept him on the short leash after that and I was of the opinion it was too harsh at that time but now with the way the league has gone he just doesn't fit in any finishing lineup. You have to bring an elite skill and if it ain't shooting you better be awesome at something else and right he's not.

I applaud Cedi for improving his handles. He still makes a cringy misdribble every few games but he’s definitely serviceable at this point and not a COMPLETE liability anymore. Love how this man plays the game and is committed to improving.

I feel like his ball handling really varies from game to game. I think he needs to figure out how to hang on to passes. He has been fumbling alot of seemingly good passes as of late.

Been improving as the season has gone on imo but you really don’t want him on the court in the final 5 mins with a slight lead. I think he may lack concentration

If he was a NFL WR, people would say he has stone hands. A NFL team would do things to try to soften up those hands. He can't catch the ball cleanly on a consistent bases and I even think some of his dribbling issues are because he naturally doesn't allow his hands to give enough to control the ball.

He has been one of the biggest reasons why Garland has looked much better, and our second unit as a whole.

Damn we need a rim protector.

Welcome to the bandwagon. I'm your conductor, been harping on the Cavs to get a young developmental center for going on 16 years now. @RchfldCavRaised is taking tickets in the dining car.

The crazy thing is that it’s not a big secret that rim protectors can mitigate poor defensive guard-play. Yet the team has avoided adding one - outside of two years of Mozgov - since 2010.

Hassan Whiteside, baby. Dec. 21 vs. Minnesota - 16 points, 22 rebounds, 7 blocks. He's averaging 3.6 blocks per game in December.

He's a free agent after the season. Use the expiring contracts of TT, Knight and Delly (combined $44 million) to sign Whiteside and Henson. If we don't trade Love we can let Henson go as well, adding another $8.7 million to put the final total of expiring contracts at about $53 million. We picked up the $9 million contract of Exum so call it $44 million. That should be enough to get Whiteside and we would still have Love and Nance at PF.
