The Mandalorian

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The last episode of the Mandalorian was great. I have been enjoying the show, but I was excited they finally continued the main storyline rather than the previous episodes which were mostly "side quest mission that has resolution by episode's end"

Agree: this was a great episode. Still not sure why all those poor stormtroopers had to be killed off in the friendly fire (just weird) but they got the ensemble cast they wanted to run with and it's a good ensemble

I am really wishing they had waited until Disney+ to do Solo.

And as good as Mando had been, I am even more geeked for Kenobi.

I actually liked Solo <shrug>. Should have never have made these pre or post movies trilogies and stuck with the offshoots from the original trilogy this franchise would have been set lol

I was watching tonight with my son, and I'm still amazed how much better this show is than the newest trilogy, which feels more like some Young Adult, Twilight version of Star Wars than something truly epic. You want a female to actually be credible in a tough role? Daisy Ridley...or Gina Carrano? Pedro Pascal has more gravitas without even showing his face than someone like the guy who plays Poe. And then you have bad guys that are actually credible, and Carl Weathers rather than CGI Carrie Fisher, etc..

The casting alone is miles better, although I did think Jon Boyega was good, and I'd like to have seen him in a better movie.

I kind of like the Mandalorian didn't throw in something too extra crazy for the finale. They still have so much they can explore. This show could go on for quite a few seasons if they want it to.

A lot of the show was pretty meh but it finished super strong thats for sure.

IG going full Terminator was great.

Only complaint was episodes 4-6 were all throwaway “side quests” and added very little to the overall plot.

Besides those episodes I thoroughly enjoyed the first season.

I kind of like that sort of stuff. But they should make the season longer if they want to go that in depth. This is the type of show that I just want to see them do anything because it is that good. And fun to explore the worlds more.

I actually liked the side quests. I'm enjoying the journey so much I don't care as much about the destination.

I'm glad that there is a destination, but I'm also glad they're not in a rush to get there.

Show is a nod to old western shows. That’s why you see side quests in some episodes where you see him solve local town problems. Then you see the main plot somewhat go forward.
