The Rise of Skywalker spoilers thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I wonder if it will hurt Netflix that much. Since Netflix is pulling more stuff and obviously the Disney stuff, and their prices, I don't know. They have enough originals now that I don't think it will hurt that much. People will probably keep both. It might hurt more to other services like Hulu.

But cable is still alive.

I think it will. Netflix is rapidly losing value. They've canceled a lot of their best shows and can't seem to commit to any show for longer than a couple of seasons.

Further, Disney is about to come out swinging with some big shows that feature A-list actors and IPs.

Just from the short clips, anyone think it's possible that Dark Rey is a clone from Kamino? Sure seems like that is one rainy water planet like Kamino

The return of Jar Jar Binks as Darth Plagueis. Can't wait till Rey cuts him in 2

The last trailer is out.

Thoughts:

It appears the rumors are true about the Skywalker Force.

It only looks cool for all the imperial stuff and the Emperor's old throne room. All that stuff is cool.

But the film appears to be another exercise in being derivative and the new characters and storylines are simply the weak-link in all of this.

Which is not great.

How Disney managed to squander so much talent and ideas to end it like they will, is beyond disappointing. I came up with a better story when I was eight.

I hate how half the trailers I watch these days give me absolutely zero insight into what the movie is actually about. They're just a series of random clips. What is the story of this movie? I sure as fuck couldn't tell you based on that trailer.

Presumably it explains how a giant piece of debris consisting of the lower rim of the super-laser dish of the Death Star II, a dish 40 kilometers in diameter, a projectile several times larger than the meteor that killed the dinosaurs, didn't obliterate all life on Endor when it hit.

I thinks that's OK for a movie like this. I think everyone who is going to see it has already made up their mind or are waiting to see if people think it's good. I don't think anyone is going base their decision to see it based on plot points from a trailer.

They can redeem themselves a little by killing off Rose in the first 5 seconds of the movie.

I know, but I'm just annoyed that damn near every trailer is like that these days.

Haven’t followed this much since being very underwhelmed by TLJ. This trailer gave me the feels but so did all of the other ones. Gonna see it obviously, but I have zero clue what their direction of the story is. Palpatines back? Or some shit? So confused.
