Zlatan is Swedish. They needed prime David Villa or Raul.
Yeah. Just giving an example of someone who isn't even that terrific anymore--but would be a huge boost for that team.

They need someone who isn't afraid to take a shot, and can hit it off the first touch.

Is there a soccer thing happening?

Like why would a mob take over a street in San Jose, CA and beat drums and chant?

I don't see any reason for there to be a mob. Unless it's weird Argentina merch that I don't think I've seen?

I figured it out after seeing one of their signs.

They are Mexico City "Club America" fans.

Why here, and now? Who knows. They shut down the whole street and are making such a racket. They have woken the Maine Coon from his nap. Very discourteous to cats.

The police are shutting them down.

I even looked at Liga MX logos to see if anything was close too!

Very odd. Maybe they had a friendly? Weird.

I am told it is Tour Aguila.

And they play someone in San Jose tomorrow.

Explains the hotel mob.

And for half an hour a foreign power conquered an American street.

And woke the Archduke of Maine Coons.

THIS MEANS WAR!!!

Honest question... in a game like that, where both teams are incredibly conservative and it's still a 1-1 tie a half hour after it was supposed to end... do you guys actually enjoy it?

Honest answer - every football supporter hates penalty kicks, but not as much as the players. Italy traditionally plays a conservative style, and England under Southgate is the same.

It would be like settling the NBA Finals with free throws.

Unfortunately nobody has a better solution.

Game was great. You always wish it ended in actual soccer rather than PK's but I still like the drama of PK's.

I wish tournament elimination games just kept playing extra time until it was decided.
