As a Tottenham supporter living in Philly it's been painful to watch former Spurs man Bale wreak havoc the past couple of weeks. First the Union, then USA.

I'm still scarred by the awful 1998 WC and getting our asses kicked by Iran.

Now Harry Kane is going to lead England against us Friday, looking for revenge from 1950. I'm not optimistic.

Loss or Draw doesn't do much either way. Iran game is gonna be the decider. Would be nice to steal this one. They've had a few looks.

No a draw absolutely does a ton.

It means a draw with Iran would put them through if England beats Wales, which is a fairly likely outcome.

Moreover if you lose this game, even if you win against Iran they aren't necessarily through.

Wales beating England would open up a 3 way tie where goal differential comes into play.

But if they draw this game and then beat Iran they're through no matter what happens in the other game.

CP corners to the head of Weston or Zimmerman have been one of our best set pieces over the past few Yeats.

Plus he is really good with the space when the ball gets sent back out to him

I think Gio is long overdue. He should've come on for Haji already. This 442 we're playing doesn't need a 9. Play Gio and Weah up front... or move CP up and have Gio slide back to the midfield
