Liverpool has looked like shit and I don’t think they’re repeating. These dudes need to figure it out quickly, we’re going to be in a battle for the top four spots.
Most wide open season in the top flight that I can remember, and I’ve been a Tottenham supporter since 1968. Right now Manchester City looks best but it’s still early.

Thoughts on the European Super League drama? Definitely against a closed system in Europe - but UEFA/FIFA isn’t exactly a great alternative in this situation either - especially with the new UCL format announced today

I'm an Arsenal fan and to be honest, I don't think we deserve to be in it at the moment. The concept is amazing, but it's basically just a supercharged Champions League. I get the justification in that even Tottenham brings in more money than a ton of other clubs and the bigger clubs fanbase wise don't benefit more than any other club based off revenue brought in regardless of position. But it's going to make things so much worse. A team like City who already has an unlimited bank account being able to add an Mbappe with the money they'll get from this...

All that being said, UEFA/FIFA are corrupt AF and the only reason they're acting is because it takes money out of their pockets. It's just a game of chicken at this point. Where were they in terms of action when going against racism? Dudes are banned for 8 games for doing or saying something racists while others are banned for 10 games for betting money on a game... Where's that justification? Where is the justification of taking bribes to hold the world cup in Saudi Arabia?

If the Super League was created by less corporate BS owners who are investors, not fans of the sport... I'd be all for it. For now, it's literally evil vs evil. People are just siding with the known evil for now.

Saw this coming from a mile away, while it been mentioned that UEFA/FIFA aren't exactly choir boys to say the least the elitists nature of the whole thing soured everyone to it really quick...

I'm a member at another board that's been around for a long time and it probably like 60% Brits and the general vibe I was getting from guys that were life long fans of some of these clubs is that they were strongly against it with some saying they'd find another teams if the plans had ended up going through. This seemed to be an idea that really didn't take into account any of the other parties in the equation(Fans, players, staff, etc.) other then the owners of the clubs and it showed.

So for me, being an Arsenal fan for about 20 years, I've seen the downfall of the club from the ownership level. As soon as the Super League was announced, I knew we were going to be part of it. There was a story going around today as well of an American owner who had to ask which team was his because they were at home... They're not saying it's Kronke, but it's definitely Kronke.

Anyway, this is now a stepping off point for Arsenal to get that guy out because he doesn't care if we're winning. It's pretty much a cash cow regardless of how we do. Haven't made Champions League in like 5 years but we're still the 8th most valuable club on the planet. And he doesn't put his own money into the club. The recent high profile signing was a loan from KSE... That's what happens when venture capitalists who don't give a shit about the sport own the team. The board literally said fuck you to the fans when they gave him full control.

There was one thing about the Super League I liked. The transparency of the refs. The PL refs have been ruining the sport and making it all about them. It's incredibly frustrating.

Honestly, I think they knew there would be blowback, but they didn't expect teams to cave so quickly. But Man City not needing money, they were quick to fall. They probably expected to use some of the money, sign big players and go "see what we can do for you?" Either way, I'm glad it's dead. I'm hoping the PL, FIFA and UEFA make real changes to benefit teams and players, I hope Stan Kronke gets booted and I hope they can actually try to impact the racism in soccer...

Tottenham supporter since before the Cavaliers existed.

American fans are FAR less intense about their teams than British fans. The mostly foreign owners of these clubs seriously underestimated the fan blowback. FIFA and UEFA stink but eliminating the pyramid system is a nonstarter.

The Crew bran re-design and new team is getting put in the absolute trashcan around Columbus.

No one likes it.

I absolutely HATE how every American soccer team feels the need to make their team name "Euro" or whatever you wanna call it with the "Real, SPorting, FC, United" name switches.

Anyone watching the Euros or Copa America at the moment? Italy are looking good value for their money, FYI.

Love the Italians to win it. (slight bias)

France are obviously star studded.

This Germany/Portugal game has been flames so far. Group of death over there.

Italy seems to be the team to beat in Euros this year. And I cannot say I blame anyone, because of their history and chemistry. Still, never count out Germany or France.

As for COPA, it's gonna be Brazil, but with South America getting ravaged by COVID, truly anything could happen.

Also, almost Gold Cup time. Let's see if the US can get another trophy over Mexico.

On paper, France are fielding an elite 11 and should really be winning the whole thing. But they're in that "Group of Death," and so anything can happen. Italy definitely look to be playing with the most "comfort" in the group stages. Going to be very interesting to see how things progress following the next 2-3 days.

I don't think you can say the Italians are favorites at all.

That's very clearly the French and Belgium with Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Portugal and England all major contenders

No idea what it is but I LOVE, absolutely LOVE watching England consistently under perform on the National stage.

As an Aston Villa fan, Gareth Southgate being a total POS about Graelish is going to get him what Gareth deserves.

I'll still take the Italians. 30 games in a row they've won?

Italians finally get a real test and didn’t look as much the part.

I’d be shocked if they were able to knock off a Belgian side stacked with talent next round but this is a game where a lot can happen because the margin of error is so slim.
