I feel horrible for guys like Sterling and Rashford too. People are racially abusing them for doing things like giving their parents cars and doing stuff for the community. Honestly, the amount of racism in sports is disgusting.
I don’t think the problem is racism in sports per se - it’s racism inside people, some of them sports fans. Despicable. There have been instances of racism among players in England (for example John Terry) but that’s been mostly stamped out.

On the positive side, if I knew nothing about soccer before this tournament, I might come away thinking that Sterling is the best player in the world. Dude had an unreal tournament and was the best player on the pitch in nearly every contest.

Not really talking about who failed. Just reading way too much racial abuse coming from a lot of fans (many of who appear to be Chelsea and Tottenham fans) against Saka, Rashford and Sancho. And it's pretty fucked up. Not making excuses for Saka missing the pen, but I think it was a poor decision for him to be in that position in the first place.

Do we discuss the fact that Kane had 0 touches in the box until the pen?
There’s literally dudes in here that are fans of both fighting. I’m literally giving shit to them. Don’t even come with me with that shit.

On second thought, you’re correct - Southgate should not have counted on an Arsenal player to get it done.

Kane can’t get touches in the box without service. He was also dropped back to some extent, and made the long pass to former Spur Trippier to get up the Shaw goal.

Lol, good one. But also former Spurs player :chuckle: That's a reach to put yourself in a position of power. You should have gone with Kane being the only attacker to actually score a goal for England that game.

I'm sure if young players actually wanted to play for Tottenham you'd have a little bit of understanding towards why Saka shouldn't have taken the last pen. But your youngest signing last season was Bale and your best player wants to leave. Arsenal is an extremely banter club right now, we've been shit. I accept that. But still, there are young players who actually want to join and players like Smith-Rowe, Saka, ect who re-up their contracts with the squad.

Banter aside, Kane had some great passes and I agree the midfield was a fucking mess, again a Southgate special... Playing Mount over Grealish and not playing Foden at all. Just stupid.

But you're not really providing anything from your end. If you're going to bring out banter, make it better than "oh look at these guys whose team hate each other fighting. How expected..."

Has anyone been to the new Crew stadium? I'm hoping to get down there in August. Looks great.

Anyone watching all these opening weeks of the Euro Leagues?

Been some entertaining games.

Extremely late response, but I went last weekend. Great stadium. They’ve been playing like shit recently though.

Going across the pond, great to see big Virg back. Great game from Liverpool.

Yeah the Crew have practically been unwatchable these past few weeks. Tough season all around.

Villa just is a fun black hole. So yeah, I caught the other games.

Glad to hear Lower is great. I've been preparing to move my elderly mother from CLE down to Cbus, so I haven't had any time to get to a match. Maybe in October. The way the defense is playing, they might be giving away tickets by then.

This transfer season is crazy. Ronaldo back to Man U

Already USMNT losing to Canada. Awful defense.
Berhalter has to go. He has no fresh ideas and is basically a morale coach at this point. Canada has been very good, but that's no excuse, we are much more talented.
