West End Tavern? Fern Cafe? Lucky's Tavern?

Actually never mind. It was definitely The Fern. I think I've been to West End Tavern too, though, as it looks familiar. But that menu on the wall at The Fern is definitely the dive bar where we got the cheese curds.

Going to be in New Zealand in December for a week. Any tips? Putting together an itinerary now.

Will be going to Seattle for a long weekend in the spring @King Stannis what places should I be visiting? And no I don't want to be a cum dumpster

Well, there is so much but bring wet weather gear because it will rain every day.

Typical Tourist Stuff

Space Needle via the monorail
Pike Place Market (eat at one of the places there)
Chihuly Glass Museum

Other Neat Stuff

EMP Museum
Art Museum
Ride the ferry
DUKW water tour
Whale watching
Museum of Flight
International District/Chinatown

Lots of night life. The main area for adults to eat and drink and play is the Pike and Pine corridor on Capital Hill. Also the Pioneer Square area.

You the best

Thinking about taking my boys (12, 10, 6) on a summer vacation this year. Going to avoid a beach vacation as their mom likes to do that and I'm not a beach person to begin with. Any suggestions? I was thinking San Francisco with Alcatraz, going up north with the redwoods, etc.

How was it? Thinking about going at some point.

It was amazing. The scenery is otherworldly. We spent the entire week in Auckland and did day trips (which works well on the north island). If I ever go back, I'll do a multi-stop vacation of the south island.

The people are incredibly friendly. A lot of times, they would feel us out to see if we liked Trump and when they found out that the answer was no, we were golden.

Craft beer scene is pretty good, which is a stark contrast to beer in Australia which was disgusting.

If you're ever in that part of the world, try and stop in Cairns or Townsville and snorkel the GBR -- truly amazing.

Did you visit the Shire though?
