There are a few cheesy ways to level up fast in survivor skill, though no real viable shortcuts to level up strength and agility.
I will say that adjusting to playing something like this after having primarily been a console gamer has been quite the challenge. It’s a fun game though. I heard they’re coming out with a second one, as well.

I think next year. Did you get the expansion -- "The Following"? That's really good too -- basically a whole new game set in a rural area. The grappling hook loses some of its utility, but you get a buggy and can drive around -- that's fun as hell too.

I love games where movement itself is fun.

Yup! When I bought it I got everything for like $15 or something. The Steam Summer Sale is death by a thousand cuts to my wallet. :chuckle:

That's one of the reasons I like zelda breath of the wild so much. Shield surfing from a mountain into your paraglider is just awesome.

This is gonna sound so dumb but if someone just remade Black & White with better graphics and added like 10 new creatures I’d play that shit over any game released in the past 3 years.

I miss B&W. Loved it--but man was it a buggy, awful game... but it was just so cool and innovative.

What ever happened to Molyneux?

Wish they would just reveal Metroid Prime 4 so I can justify my inevitable Switch purchase.

You don't even need Metroid prime 4 to justify the purchase. The console is awesome. I'm playing it almost as much as my pc.

Well, as of now there’s only a few games that I’d buy probably. Mario Odyssey, Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart to play with the girlfriend, but I have eyes on the Link’s Awakening remake too. Metroid would probably seal the deal.

Shame the console never goes on sale.

Mario Maker 2 is awesome too. It's pretty much endless content to play there.

Extended Gameplay Trailer for Dying Light 2 is streaming on Monday.

Also...I picked up Witcher 3 on Steam awhile back, but I've never played 1 and 2. Is it important enough that I should play through those first, or is it okay to just start with 3?

I'd at least watch a YouTube summary.

The third game does have a really good codex in it that explains who everyone is but I'd definitely recommend watching a plot summary.

You won’t be super lost if you don’t play the first two, but it will enhance your experience if you know the backstory from the first two. Read the Wikipedia pages for both or watch a YouTube summary, as Jack said.

Excited to hear your thoughts on one of the greatest games of all time. That might sound like hyperbole, but I can assure you it’s not.

I hope you picked up the two DLCs for it, as well. If not, I can’t recommend them enough - ESPECIALLY Blood and Wine, which introduces an entirely new area. Both DLCs are worth an additional 40 or so hours of gameplay.

Anyone pick up the new Fire Emblem? I’ve been enjoying it so far. It’s been a relaxing change of pace to some of the other games I’ve played in recent months (got platinum on Sekiro and then had been replaying the Dark Souls series).

Yeah, 100 percent pick up the expansions, and make sure you save Blood and Wine for last. Really, I'd recommend beating the base game before doing either expansion, but Blood and Wine specifically feels like an ending to the trilogy.
