The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I've been a NBA2k lover for a long time, but I've been playing a lot of APEX lately. Even competed in a couple of tournaments.

I do miss the retro turn based RPG's though. Anyone have any good PS4 recommendations?

Persona 5 is a good game, Dragon Quest XI.

I mean, just me?

Jesus.

don’t you guys have phones?

I'll play it but Diablo 3s launch certainly hurt my excitement for the next one. I know the game got better but it took years.

Still playing Total War Warhammer II a ton.

Playing a decent amount of risk of rain 2. Addictive game.

Picked up Fallen Order today and played it for a few hours. Liking it a lot. Really the only complaints I have so far are that the platforming on some of the sliding sections can be frustrating as hell and the annoyance of the enemies that pop up out of the ground to surprise attack you. Visually it's very pretty with some awesome vistas and the combat is enjoyable, especially as you start to unlock new abilities to make you less useless.

Story is intriguing even if the main character is almost certainly doomed to fail.

Shockingly got a Switch for Christmas that I wasn't expecting at all. I picked up the new Pokemon game and got Mario Kart with the console.

I play a lot of PC stuff, so I don't see myself taking the time to get good at multi-player-centric games on Switch. Don't think I'll get Smash any time soon.

What are some suggestions you guys have? Is Breath of the Wild really is good as it's claimed to be? What is the new Fire Emblem like? What are some under the radar titles?

Fire Emblem is great. Its got kind of a Persona effect added to it where you run around in between battles and talk to people or do other stuff like eating, training. It would be a great buy.

I won't play breath of the wild but I've heard great things. Oddly I've never been a fan of Zelda games.

Mario + Rabbids is a decent under radar game. I bought it a week ago cause it was on sale with the DLC for 19.99 on the Switch Store. Its been oddly enjoyable.

legend of heroes trails of cold steel series (you got three of them) and Persona 5. Valkyria Chronicles 1 and 4. Dragon Quest 11 is supposed to be good as well. Ni No Kuni series is a solid RPG. Y’s VII Lacrimosa of Dana is solid.

Switch has a lot of good games now. Most of the Final Fantasy series is on the switch, a ton of RPGs are out. Octopath Traveler is a good game, Banner Saga trilogy is a more complex version of the Oregon Trail game that came out years ago. That’s like 20 bucks right now. I am not sure what style of game you like to play?

Just finished Jedi: Fallen Order.

What a game. I miss single player games that are this good.

Also, finished The Witcher on Netflix and am all in. Is the game as good as people say it is? Maybe I'll give that a shot. What's the sales pitch on that one?

Seriously tho, if you have to finance a $60 game, you probably shouldn't be buying games :p

Witcher 3 is one of those rare games that I would pay full price for again.

The complete edition is frequently on sale for $15-20.

Even better if you’re on Steam and can pick up the first two to add some context to the story. The game series picks up after the books end, whereas the show is based on the books.
