If there was an Index 2.0, with everything the same plus wireless capability, I'd be in already.

I think I'm still leaning towards waiting, but Index and Vive Pro are intriguing.

What VR headset do you have?

I'll be honest. My plan was to sit out this generation of VR and wait for a better set (or for the price of a quality set like the Valve Index to not be a grand). But Alyx has me debating dipping my toe in. I'm torn between the Index and the Vive Pro right now I think
I have an occulus rift. Had it for over 2 years now. I think it's absolutely worth the money. The first time I put it on and did the tutorial for first time use, blew me away. Plus it's helped me lose weight and get back in shape.

Finished watching a playthrough of Half Life: Alyx. Holy shitballs that game was ridiculous. The ending was awesome.

Nice to see that Valve might actually be making games again considering they're probably the most consistently great company in the business when they do.

Currently just working Ori 2 and RE2, both of which I’m really enjoying. Not a whole lot coming out for me in the next couple months besides TLOU2 and Ghost of Tsushima, so I’m taking my time and getting my money’s worth out of these two.

Depending how I feel after beating RE2, we’ll see if I snag RE3. Never played the originals so may be a good idea.

i’ve also been thinking of going back to a couple games during the slight lull and putting a few hours into some that still have some life. Horizon Zero Dawn was one of my favorites of this generation and I never played The Frozen Wilds expansion. Might reinstall and peep it.

On PC, still playing Warhammer 2 Total War after over 100 hours.... wish they’d show us the next one. In the meantime, going to run a few more campaigns.

Gaming is a crazy hobby. Pretty inexpensive, and there’s like never ending shit to play. You just can’t get to it all, and it irks me sometimes. I have Steam games with 20 minutes in them (HOI4, looking at you) and then games with 50 hours that I still want to go back and play more of.Good shit.

Animal Crossing and 2K20 on the Switch. I hadn't played the 2K series much since 2K13 on the PS3, and I've seen how the game has added so many features since then...I've been practicing a lot the last few months, and I have a 98 ovr paint beast that's getting a lot of park action and success now.

My guess is the concern is that a lot of games-only retail stores, where I'm sure many people still buy their games for some reason, might still be closed when the release date rolls around. Further, doing a mass retail release right now is probably a logistical nightmare with so many other essential products in absurd demand.

And while I was looking forward to the game for sure, there's never a shortage of other shit to play. I've got about 400 games in my backlog. :chuckle:

By the way, the first Ori game is five bucks on Steam this weekend. Perfect time to buy it and give it a play through before tackling the sequel.

I’m sad but this is also how I feel. This means I can clean up the other games I’m still messing with. There truly is always a hundred things to play.

Still sucks. Probably wont be the last delay. Ghost of Tsushima up next I’m betting.

Watching that Half-Life: Alyx playthrough got me itching to play some Half-Life, and since Black Mesa isn't supported on GeForce Now (I'll download it to my actual hard drive later), I dove into the second game. One thing I really like about this game is how it lures you into a false sense of security with a pretty slow first ten minutes, but then the shit hits the fan all at once and you're off running for your life and gunning down everything in your path. This game can really get your adrenaline going at times because it's just fast. Aside from the Doom reboots the past couple of years, I can't think of many other modern single-player shooters that feel derived from the old Quake family like Half-Life 2 does.

ETA: It does get a little bit up its own ass with these fucking physics puzzles, though. :chuckle:

Was really looking forward to this one. I wouldn’t be surprised to see others such as Ghost of Tsushima and Cyberpunk get delayed releases, too.

At least it gives me time to work through this backlog.

Cyberpunk is one of those games that's going to be released when it's done anyway, so I honestly wouldn't be too surprised if it were delayed again for other reasons.
