The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
My buddy was about an hour outside of finishing the last mission in Far Cry 3 and it wiped out everything :chuckles:

Anyone wants to get twerked in FIFA XBL: easybreezy26

For all of you FIFA fans do you play ultimate team or seasons?

We could also create a pro club if anyone is up for that. Gamertag is Party on Waynee

Finished The Last of Us at about 1030 going to play through on hard now. Took me 14 hours and change. Very good game overall, but as stated it's annoying that people drop items. At least have you search through them to get it. The world looks fantastic, and for a basically linear mission based game it's vast. The Clickers are god damned annoying though. Can't wait for the DLC, i'm actually going to keep this game and add it to my collection.

Started plowing through Arkham City again. Such a great game, even if the ending kind of sucks. Both this and Asylum really just "get" Batman. Fun combat, fun exploration, fun puzzles...just fantastic all around.

Also, Arkham City gets bonus points for sneaking in a dig at the terrible Lost finale. :chuckles:

I'm playing State of Decay, despite it's bugs, still a very solid game. Really would love an MMO game set in this style of gameplay.

State of Decay developer Undead Labs can't begin working on its follow-up game,an MMO called Class4,until it agrees with Microsoft on a series of terms about future technology, support and goals,Undead's community director Sanya Weathers told Eurogamer.

Microsoft owns the IP for Class4,following a deal that funded and developed State of Decay,Weathers said: "We cannot begin working on Class4 without a greenlight from Microsoft ... and a mutually agreeable contract." Undead is still talking with Microsoft about the specifics of Class4.

State of Decay was originally called Class3,and Undead viewed it as the first step toward that larger MMO project,Undead founder Jeff Strain told us in 2011. "The minute-by-minute core of the game will all be there in Class3," Strain said. "The only thing it won't have is the massive player participation the sequel will have."

Today,Weathers explained the negotiations with Microsoft regarding Class4. "We have to agree on where we think the technology is going to be in a few years (since the game will take a few years to develop); we have to agree that we have the same goals; and we have to agree on how we'll collectively run and support the final game," Weathers said.

State of Decay is doing well –since its launch on June 5,it's been crowned the fastest-selling original game on XboxLive Arcade, ever, with 500,000 sales. We found State of Decay's premise and vibe to be tense (in a mostly good way),but we ran into some technical issues that Undead is currently having problems patching.

I just finished Bioshock Infinite. It was a thoroughly entertaining game with a nice twist at the end. The combat was fun and the world they created was fascinating. I would definitely recommend it to someone, though not much replay value I think.

Yeah, I knew about Class4. I just like the idea of an MMO based around survival, rather than your standard WoW clone. Would lend itself to a very dynamic game world. I think the change to an MMO would be brutally hard to accomplish though. You only have so much world, so many houses/characters, resources, etc. Once you clear a house in SoD, there's no reason to return to it, short of building an outpost or the random friend mission. This is where the biggest problems would arise. Constantly respawning resources would defeat the purpose of a survival game.

And no, I won't buy an XboxOne just to play it. But it'd probably be one of the few exclusives M$ could tempt me with.

Would love for one also, still haven't had a chance to beat State of Decay yet. I played a decent amount the first week it was out but I've been working so much since i haven't got a chance to play. Scared when I finally log in everyone is going to be dead and have no resources. :(

I don't think respawning resources are necessarily a huge problem. You just need to balance out how often they actually respawn relative to how many people are playing to keep players constantly motivated to keep moving. It would just be impossible to have an MMO zombie survival game with a finite number of resources.

Not if a big part of the game is trading/rationing/etc. Wouldn't necessarily have to be absolutely finite, but still needs to be limited enough to present a challenge. Adding in trading of resources would allow for more player interaction and force a financial ecosystem into the game, but doing it naturally, rather than feel just tacked on.

Thelorn, I went to bed to wake up and to find that 3 survivors died. 2 enclaves that I almost had ready to join me died. Leaving the church for the first time that day, I was mobbed by a constantly spawning mini horde and a feral... Poor Marcus was torn to shreds and I cried for the loss of my first player character.

I had a second to login and check it out. About 6-7 people died all neighbors I haven't even meet yet, all 20 of the people inside my church are fine. However I have under 10 of every resource now and I'm sure when I get to play this weekend that"ll be all gone and a few of those 20 will be dead.

That sucks about Marcus, if I lose him I'm going to be pissed I have everything on him maxed but cardio.

Playing through empire total war again...Love the total war series games.

Halfway through Alan Wake again as well.

You have 20 people inside the church? I've moved to a warehouse that has more space to build housing upgrades. Currently have 14 people there. My Marcus got ripped in half by one of those fat bastards.

Starting to play Skyrim and Far Cry 3 again.

Two wonderfully developed games.
