The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Picked up Fenyx Rising because I wanted a palate cleanser for Cyberpunk and it's a really enjoyable game. Apparently it's basically Breath of the Wild plus Greek mythology, but I don't have a Switch so never played the most recent Zelda.

It's a lot like Odyssey was, only with a much less serious gone. Similar mechanics, and the platforming is worlds better than the sticky climbing from Valhalla. This is from the same studio that made Odyssey and as such pushes forward a lot of the better movement mechanics from that game that Valhalla lacks (Valhalla feels like older AC games).

Basically the game is a mix of combat, platforming, and puzzles. The puzzles aren't typically anything too in depth but when you're high and want to play a game that's pretty, colorful, and with snappy writing, it'll do. The game is narrated by Prometheus, who is telling a tale to Zeus, and they regularly pop in during gameplay to tell stories or provide context. It does a nice job of hitting that Pixar line like Portal 2 where it's got plenty of adult jokes but never really crosses the line past a teen rating.

This is a solid 8/10 game. It does everything well and is fun to play. I've really enjoyed playing it, and I think I'll actually finish it.
Breath of the Wild is the single best game I have ever played, it's worth buying a Switch for.

Cyberpunk is running fine on PC other than annoying glitches. At the same time, I am about 30 hours into it and am now getting bored of it. Just going to finish the main story then uninstall. It's really nothing new or ground breaking at all.

It’s a really good RPG. Definitely not groundbreaking, but a great game if it hadn’t been released broken.

I think it's a game that will need to be revisited a year or two from now to see what all has been fixed / added.

Basically how I’m approaching it. It’ll be awhile before I get back to playing it.

Microsoft flight sim with VR is amazing. It's not perfect and my PC can't run it all that smoothly, but it's one of the coolest experiences I've ever had in a game.

I just got a Switch from Santa. Someone please tell me what games to get. I already purchased Zelda: BOTW.

Great choice with BOTW. My opinion, the best game on the switch. I'll give you some of my favs.

Super mario odyssey. Fantastic.

Super smash bros.

Mario kart.

Might seem like a kid game, but I've had a ton of fun with Mario+rabbids kingdom.

Hades is also a real fun game.

If you like baseball, super mega baseball 3 is great.

Stardew valley is a game I've put hundreds of hours into. Plays great on the switch.

Rocket league is hella fun.

Luigi's mansion.

Binding of isaac.

I own a ton of games because I have no impulse control lol.

Fire emblem: 3 houses, super Mario Odyssey, animal crossing, mario kart,, and pretty much any other nintendo 1st party game.

Look for sales on indie titles on the eshop, as well

After my wife was not able to get me a PS5 for Christmas (she tried so damn hard and she’s the least likely human to sit and refresh a stock page lol), I copped one today during that short 30 min window on PlayStation direct!

So stoked for demon souls! Big bloodborne/dark souls fan who never owned a PS3 and never got to play the original. Excited my first experience with it will be in 4K HDR.
