The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
First Pokemon in a route/area unless I already have that Pokemon, then it's whatever the first one is that I don't have.
All Pokemon must be nicknamed.
If they faint, they go into the box.

If I should happen to fail at any point, I'll just convert it into a normal run through the region, since I like to play through Sinnoh once a year anyway. Two gyms without casualty so far though!
How do you find BDSP compared to the more recent games? I thought they were a little too faithful to the originals to be honest.

Well, I certainly don't like that TMs are single use again, however, not needing HMs at all is so good for team construction. Hope we get Johto re-remakes soon that drops HMs so I don't need a Pokemon that can use Surf and Waterfall and Whirlpool. :chuckle:

Im hoping for Johto legends game personally. Celebi is right there

I’m loving Wo Long, but I definitely think Nioh 2 is the more polished (and definitely tougher) game. I’m looking forward to getting back into it. I did the same with the first Nioh - took a break and started over - and ended up completely clearing it.

So something happened that I wasn’t anticipating in Wo Long - there I was, minding my own business, cutting down demons and making the rivers run red with the blood of yellow turbans, when all of a sudden I got invaded! I ended up winning against the dude, but as an aforementioned father to an infant, I can obviously get called away from the game unexpectedly, which isn’t optimal if you can get invaded at any time. Luckily, you can turn this feature off.

Think I got in a groove and began to actually learn Nioh mechanics, and tonight I was able to beat the first mission and boss.

And then the title screen flashed. :chuckle:

Seems like an amazing game. But much more complex than Wo Long. Think I’ll come back to it later on after Wo Long and Elden Ring. I can’t play two Souls games at once let alone 3

Well...I'm back playing Total War Warhammer III again. They just announced the Chaos Dwarf race pack for next month. Immortal Empires has worked out a lot of kinks and the mods have been great (check out Steel Faith Overhaul or "SFO").

Bought it a year ago still havent really touched. Fuck what am I doing with my life.

Is the normal campaign(s) worth doing? Or just IE?

I haven't touched normal campaign since IE came out. Played through regular campaign a couple of times and it just got boring tbh. The mods really help keep things interesting. A lot of quality of life mods out there as well. Take a look at the top posts on the Steam Workshop and you'll see some of the best.

I’m not really into mods but might try. I’ll maybe run 1-2 normal campaigns before flipping to IE. I hope turn times aren’t absolute buttcheeks in IE.

Probably goes without saying at this point, but the Resident Evil 4 Remaster is awesome

Being slightly pedantic here, but it’s a full-on remake, complete with new story content, areas, enemies, and activities.

Best game of 2023 so far.

Finally decided to commit to Disco Elysium after starting it something like four different times and abandoning it after setting it down for too long to the point where I forgot what was going on. I started over from scratch a week or two ago and am now on day seven.

I’m a communist superstar cop who dabbles in the paranormal whenever given the chance. I roundhouse kicked a giant racist and knocked his ass out. I shamelessly flirt with an old lady in a wheelchair. I tell everyone who will listen about how I lost my police issued gun. I help a group of teenagers open up a drug lab in an abandoned church. I warn everyone of the Great Bloodletting that is near at hand, and wear a jacket that says “Fuck the World.”

This game is awesome.

I’ve gone back to Bloodborne to try and tackle the DLC. It’s quite difficult unsurprisingly.
