The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Returnal on PS5 is what my body and brain needs at this point in life. I have so little dopamine and this game makes me engaged.
I bought the PS5 Pro.. unfortunately I moved out and I bought a 55 inch C4 instead of 65. It's a bit too small for me but it is what it is.

You're in luck, the spiritual successor comes out next year.

Returnal was fine. Def put in some hours and fun to play. Reminds me of games of old where you just turn on and it’s about the gameplay
 
wonder if this Dune game will be any good...has Rust vibes

For me, I’d say it’s the 3rd best game I’ve ever played behind Witcher 3 and GoW. And I didn’t know about it at all until it came out.

I went from:
  • Ok, this is sick.
  • Yeah, this keeps getting better.
  • Probably a top 10 game of all time on my list.
  • And then after they absolutely nailed the ending, yeah… it’s top 3 for me.

No matter which ending you got, it was an emotional gut punch.

I dare say that this game is going to end up on a lot of “all time” lists. Sandfall Interactive absolutely deserves their flowers, and then some.

Absolutely. I was a bit hesitant to buy into the hype since it was so overwhelming, but they just absolutely nailed it on every level. Well deserved in my book, and I can’t wait to see what happens next for them. I could see another story in the same world, but at the same time I also want them to explore something new.
 
nah, we need a sequel that goes into the writers realm...give me a whole world there and the "conflict" from their POV

then to wrap up the trilogy you have painters vs. writers and people like Renoir and Clea are in your party
 
I thought Verso was maybe the most interesting character I’ve seen in a long time. A friend argued that Verso is the villain of the whole story for selfishly pursuing his goal, and I can’t argue with that. In my mind though, he’s more the tragic figure and his ending gives a sense of closure that the Dessendres desperately need.

Brilliance that they can make a character that the fan base argues over like that.
 
Im not gonna have time to sit down and grind out a game til August or so, but it sounds like Clair Obscur is the way to go next

I think it's as close as they can get to a "good" ending (especially compared to the other one).

There's a ton they can do within this universe if they want to make sequels or spinoffs, though - I'd love to see a game that centers around
the Writers and their conflict with the Painters.

The other ending was incredibly creepy! In my mind you need to play through both. You need to see the other ending to fully appreciate each ending individually.
 
my dream would be the studio making an MMO within that world
