The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I just want GTA VI news

RDR2 just came out late last year, so I'd say we're roughly two-three years off of Rockstars next huge title. GTAV still has a massive playerbase and consistent online updates too (at least as of like a month ago).

They'll probably wait for the next generation of consoles before bringing out GTA VI.

Sad but true. We all know it's coming, just gonna be awhile.

I judge the fact that you're pre-ordering games.

Pretty much the only game I'd even consider pre-ordering is Cyberpunk, and that's only because I have a reasonable amount of faith in that company's ability to deliver, at worst, a good game even if it isn't as mind-blowing as we all hope it will be.

Steam Summer Sale is on, RIP to my wallet.

What are you guys looking at picking up? As someone who more recently entered the realm of PC gaming, what should I look to pick up? Generally I’ll play anything, but for PC I’ll typically play RTS, FPS, and RPGs.

You into ARPGs? These are on console now days, but I doubt many people play them there. Path of Exile is a blast, super in depth arpg. I’ve been getting sucked into the genre after playing Diablo 3 to death. Grim Dawn I Bought during the sale but havent gotten to it yet. Path is actually free now that I think of it, ha.

Check out the Total War series if you like empire
Builder RTS. The recent Warhammer games in particular are phenomenal though I hear Three Kingdoms, the new release based on historic China, is stellar as well.

I don’t do a ton of PC gaming anymore so I’m the wrong one to really ask, but I always have a gaming PC on hand for the above genres as well as more specialized stuff like MOBAs. PC will always hold a special place in my gaming heart, lol.

More of an RTS guy (grew up playing Starcraft and Warcraft) but I definitely fuck with Diablo, as well.

I ended up picking up Dying Light for super cheap. I wanted to get into Rainbow Six Siege, but I think I might already be too late to the party on that one.

RTS is a dying breed. Sad. But I am excited for the Warcraft 3 Reforged later this year. I played the shit out of WC3.

"...as MachineGames puts aside the extremely dark story line of The New Colossus in favor of a light-hearted coming of age tale about two young girls and their first serial murder spree." :chuckle:

I loved Dying Light. Terrifying when you"re running through a street at night being chased by a Volatile, and trying to parkour your way to safety. And fun as hell at higher levels when you're zapping around like Spiderman with your grappling hook

Get the grappling hook and stomp abilities as soon as you can.

I haven’t played a ton of it, but I’m on staff duty tonight. Gonna dig into it some more for sure.

Dying light 2 comes out next year and is looking really good.

There are a few cheesy ways to level up fast in survivor skill, though no real viable shortcuts to level up strength and agility.
