The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Anyone else finding Madden really difficult this year?

I've played 2k for years but stopped the last couple. But I'm back on 2k20 because I got an Xbox just so I could play with a friend.

First time playing Park. I like it actually but it's more fresh to me than most. And I had to buy VC to even compete at all. Which I was still level 80 while everyone else is 85+. And I didn't realize that gap was so big. Or how hard it is to rank up.

2k is just so dang greedy. But I'm happy to be playing a basketball game again.

Enjoying Gears 5. Paid the $2 for two months of game pass to play it. Can’t beat that deal.

thinking of getting into Destiny 2 with it going F2P. Anyone play?

I used to, stopped about 6-8 months ago (after Black Armory was released).

There's been so many expansions released at this point and so much additional content, you might find it a little bit daunting to get into at this point. If you do decide to play, join up with a clan ASAP so you can get the extra rewards.

Also, if you have a Switch but haven't played Link's Awakening, you are wrong.

The nostalgia was absolutely real, and the new custom dungeons feature was really neat.

I’m a bit younger so never played the old school Zelda games. Ocarina was my first. I have yet to get Switch but I really want to. BotW and Link’s Awakening are big reasons, but I really want some Mario in my life again too.

Definitely worth it. They’re really starting to upgrade their library of games. If you only care about portability and not playing on a TV, the new Switch is only $200 I think.

At least you started with arguably the best of the entire franchise. Ocarina will always have a special place in my heart for blowing my tiny child mind when it came out. That and Mario 64 were just so far ahead of their time.

But you should definitely play Link to the Past, because it's another of the top games in the series.

mario 64 was incredible too. I remember playing it as a kid. The N64 truly was when I got into gaming. Sure, I had a Genesis before that but I realized this was my go to hobby when I opened that N64 under the tree.

fuckin memories.

Beat Gears 5. Really enjoyed it. Might be my favorite Gears campaign.

Honestly stunned to hear that. Would be interested to hear more
Well, I’m sure it won’t be a popular opinion, I just really enjoyed the narrative this time, and the characters. Resonated with me more than the last 4 titles did. Wasn’t really a huge fan of 3 and 4 campaign wise. I didn’t play Judgement. But the environments seemed more varied, too, and I appreciated the “open world” segments for what they were.

Also it was a small part but I had fun using some of Jack’s special abilities in battle. Hijack was a hoot.

Best thing I can say is I just had a blast. More than i recall having on any previous Gears campaign. What did you think?

Didn't pick up the game and don't plan to. Was very unhappy with the direction they've taken it starting with Gears 4.

Same reason I never bought Halo 5.

What specifically turned you off in 4? It was probably my least favorite but I can’t think of anything egregious.

btw once again I got it for $2 on Gamepass. Still wouldnt pay $60 for it unless I intended to rock the mp.
