The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You're 100% correct here. My mind went straight to the G2A spiel. My bad.
Yeah, G2A, f that site.

I mean, CDKeys could still be a front for a rather large criminal organization, but it seems very unlikely. This is a very 'grey market' type of area, and they seem to be very legit. I, and many of my friends, have been using them for like maybe a decade.

Last time I picked an option that wasn't a normal purchase or a torrent was buying ripped games for the Dreamcast from like Malaysia or somewhere for like 2-3 bucks a game.

By idle i meant just browsing the internet or not doing anything. The CPU is at 70%. During gaming it's at 100%

So follow the instructions I gave you to look at the Task Manager, what process name is consuming the most CPU?

Nothing. It almost immediately goes down to very low usage once I enter task manager.
It's entirely normal for your CPU usage to spike when you open a program, like Task Manager.

Seeing a quick spike up, then a constant, means that your CPU utilization is the constant--not the spike.

Run something like perfmon if you want a passive monitor running in the background.

Okay.
using a program to monitor usage my cpu still reaches 100% though during gaming. Is that normal?

What kind of cpu and what game is doing this? It's not normal to have that high of cpu usage unless it's a game that is extremely multi threaded. Also what software are you using to monitor? I would recommend riva tuner statistics server that comes with msi afterburner.

I have a feeling he has an underpowered laptop...

Last few games I've played recently:

Kingdom Hearts 3 = worst story and voice acting I have ever seen. Beautiful game otherwise.

Death Stranding = One of my favorite games ever, but I can see why it got bad reviews. It's not a traditional game, and it might turn people off in the first few hours. You'd need to stick to it.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Demo = eh!

Half Life remake called Black Mesa finally went out of Early Access. Only $20. Might give it a whirl. I'm probably the only one to have not played it while it was in early access.

Also pumping up the RE2 remake, speaking of those. On my PS4. Enjoying it. Never played the original, or 3 for that matter which comes out next month. Besides that, we got Ori 2, TLOU2 in May, and Ghost of Tsushima in June. Good time to be a gamer!

I never played the original either, but I saw some gameplay for the RE2 remake and then got it the day it came out. Just an awesome game, really looking forward to the RE3 remake, which I've read is even better.

Funny you also mentioned TLOU, I feel like the RE remakes gameplay is very similar. Very much looking forward to that as well.
