The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Trying to play Civ, but that evolution game looks really really fun too, and I’d like to try, and figure that out.

edit: I know some of us played Destiny together, but you can add me on PS. BestOfAllTime32. Just like the diesel.

What is the game?

Haven’t stopped thinking about TLOU2 since I beat it. Tried to get back into RE2 and Days Gone, just can’t. Maybe someday I’ll go back to them.

Not sure what to tackle next. Jedi Fallen Order, Control, and Ghost of Tsushima are all that really remains of my backlog, at least they are the only ones I really feel inclined to play or at least try.

Ghost of Tsushima is worth the 30-40 hours it’ll take you to platinum it. Easily my game of the year.

Probably where I’m going next, yeah. I’ll probably start up two though. Hoping to have this backlog caught up very soon, before the Fall games drop.

Fired up Ghost of Tsushima. Now this is a fucking video game. Satisfying combat, beautiful massive open world, million progression options, a map that lights up like a fuckin’ slot machine when I open it up... yeah baby!

In all seriousness. Enjoying it a ton. Only a few hours in but I can see this being the next game I sink 40 plus hours into. Although I have heard it gets repetitive eventually and I’ll be tempted to just mainline the campaign at that point. We’ll see!

Loving Ghost of Tsushima, but I don't see the parallel to Witcher 3 as much as others. Witcher 3 was one of the best games of all time and not nearly as repetitive as Ghost. The combat is great and it's super fun in Ghost, but I feel like Witcher had a ton more depth with story, enemies, items, weapons, etc... Maybe it's because I'm still on the first part of the island roaming around and trying to reveal the entire map. Better comparison is definitely Assassin's Creed in Japan with a more refined fighting system.

Anyone attempting to tackle TLOU 2 on permadeath mode? The game was excellent, but I can tell I'm going to be pissed off at myself for falling off a cliff 4 hours in...

It's basically Odyssey, which was a blatant rip-off of Witcher 3 (not in a bad way) with functional stealth.

No one is saying it's as good as Witcher 3, but the game is designed in almost exactly the same way.

It’s not on Witcher’s level in story and such, but I’m enjoying the gameplay to a similar level. Whether I get 120 plus hours out of it as I did Witcher is TBD.

The new AC games just have yet to grip me. If they could have made them more RPG-ish but without the jank of a full on RPG, I’d probably be hooked. Something like GoT, in all honesty. I’ll still try Valhalla though.

I enjoy the gameplay much more than either Witcher 3 or Odyssey. It's very crisp and I love how quickly you can whip that bow out and massacre several people.

Are you running into quirky side stories with interesting people in Ghost? Maybe I'm just not there yet, but every side story so far was either set up very early (Lady Masaka, Archer sensei), or it's just a random villager saying "Hey, there's house in the woods that needs your help". Again, I'm having fun, but the side missions in Witcher 3 were so good.

I've been playing a ton of Fall Guys since it was free on PS+. It's equal parts super fun and absolutely rage-inducing. It's insanely satisfying when you get a win, though. I've won three so far in the three or four days I've been playing and man it feels fucking good.

Most of the time I'm left feeling like Dennis Reynolds, though.

Microsoft Flight Sim is such a good looking game. I took this somewhere over South Africa at sunset.
