The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Halo Infinite feels like it's bringing the arena shooter back from the abyss.

If you haven't tried it, do it. Multiplayer is f2p. And they've put tons and tons of focus on making it a good multiplayer game.

I've been having fun with it. They need to fix the progression for sure, but as far as the gameplay, they did a good job with it. By far the best Halo since 3.

Edit: On that note...

Yep, great changes. Now they just need to include some xp modifiers for performance/winning. And better playlist system.

On a related note:

This game is gonna be fucking legit, isn't it?

I have also been having a blast playing Infinite. 343 nailed it. Hopefully we see all of the different playlists come back with the actual launch.

Yeah, bring back playlists, cleanup the menus/navigation and this game has serious potential

They do that so people find games quicker, I'm sure.

Game queues taking long is a pretty fast way to lose a player base.

FWIW I'd be cool going back to the old private server system way back in the days of Quake and early Battlefields.

The only thing I really want is for every game mode to make the BR the starting weapon, not the machine gun.

This is what I really miss.

Great servers became legitimate communities where you could make friends to continue playing with for years. That's largely lost now.

YEa it allowed for a lot more customization too.

People can still do that I guess it's just no one will now that the client is built into the game.

I'm hoping that when Forge comes out, we get some of that back with Infinite. It has all the potential to restore that custom game fun feeling.

This game is getting raving reviews

Could honestly be GOTY

Went ahead and downloaded Infinite on my PC to see how it runs (more than meets the minimum requirements, so we'll see). Excited to try out the multiplayer with the holidays (and time off work) coming up. Depending on the experience, I might end up springing for the campaign.

Are you completely off the D2R train?

Nah, was just taking a break for other games (GTA remasters, Halo in particular). I'll come back to it at some point. You?
Got tired of the grind generally not bearing fruit, so am also taking a break for the time being. I still plan to get back into it; actually really close to having a full set of keys for an uber run.
