Still showing that he is efficient scoring inaide when given minutes... With the revolving door of Cavs coaches, its weird that none of them so far has invested in trying to develop the guy into a backup center

He looked very good with Porter jr. Jr doesn't need much space, but Zizic give him a lot of space and Zizic can catch and finish those quick passes from Kevin. They looked deadly last night. Porter/Zizic pick and roll 4-ev-a

I don't understand, what's the problem with him. He done well everytime we give him a chance to play. Outside of Love,he's the best big man free throw shooter we have on the team.

I just wish we give Zizic an opportunity to play.

Same here... Unless he is a knucklehead or locker room cancer... Doesn't strike me he is one from afar...

Probably just born too late... He would have been a good backup, maybe even a starter in the 90's... Nowadays team are allergic to traditional centers

Assuming Thompson moves on who will be Drummond's backup next year? They should definitely sign Ante. How much would a one-year deal cost, anyway?

Ante is first on the team in +/- and is shooting 60.7% from the field and 87.5% from the line. In 9.7 minutes per game he averaging 4.6 points and 3.2 rebounds. Multiply by three to get 30 minutes and it comes out to 13.8 points and 9.6 rebounds, not bad for a backup.

In defensive rating he's tied for 3rd behind Delly and Henson. Drummond is by far the worst but it's a small sample of five games.

Are the Cavs allowed to match offers for him? Assuming they can't, I would doubt Zizic would be interested and would prefer to have a fresh start somewhere else... It just didn't work out for him with the Cavs

As for matching offers I really don't think there's going to be a bidding war over Ante.

It may come down to their draft pick. If Drummond picks up his option and the Cavs draft Wiseman then Ante will be the odd man out. Assuming TT signs somewhere else and we don't draft Wiseman, then who is the other center besides Dre? I don't think we want to play Love or Nance at center.

Maybe they want to be one of those teams like Houston that plays without a center.

There are lots of free agents bigs, Noel, Biyombo, Hernangomez, Ibaka, Montrez, Henson etc

He did okay against Zion when he was in the game in the first half. After,they came back from halftime he was on the bench for whatever reason.
