Thoughts on Thabeet?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I drop semicolons like Thabeet drops DNPCDs.

I don't think he is better than any Center on the roster. Seriously that bad.

I'd rather spend the time and money on Tristan, Andy, Haywood and Kirk. I wouldn't trade ANY of them for Thabeet. Not sure how many more chances he's gonna get in the NBA. If he were smart, he'd go to Europe and play on a team where zones are allowed so he can be SOMEWHAT effective. He might even make more money over there, too.

It's mind-blowing to me that he hasn't developed a damn bit. I never expected Thabeet to be a hall of famer or even an all star, for that matter. But I expected him to be a top-tier defensive big man and a valuable commodity for some team.

He's just a hot pile of garbage. He makes DeSagana Diop look like Hakeem.

Just imagine what Memphis would be like today if they had taken Harden instead of Thabeet in 2009 and had not traded K Love for OJ Mayo the year before. The Heat might not have won any titles.

I thought Thabeet would have become Tyson Chandler. It's quite sad how far he has fallen.

If I were a Grizzlies fan that quote would probably make me want to kill myself.

As a Browns fan, I became immune to suicidal thoughts decades ago.

With Harden and Love on defense, I'm not sure they'd coast by Miami.

I would seriously consider taking a flyer on him at this point. Hasheem Thabeet safari anyone? :celb (14):

My thoughts on Thabeet? Think again.

Thabeet is definitely one of the biggest busts of the last 15 years. The legitimate only thing keeping him relevant in the D-League is the fact that he is 7'3''.

In the NBA, he just never was mobile or smart enojugh to make an impact. Being 7'3, long, and strong just isn't enough anymore. The way guards play now will destroy you unless you can move your feet or tap into your brain to get yourself in the right spot to make an impact. Thabeet is slow and basketball dumb with no offensive game, and it's that simple.
