Cleveland starter Jake Westbrook has pitched well this season, but has little to show for it.

Westbrook looks for his first victory of the season and to avenge his lone poor start as he pitches the opener of a three-game set with the Detroit Tigers.

The right-hander is 0-4, but has allowed just two earned runs or less while pitching eight innings in three of his four starts. Westbrook hasn't gotten any support from the Indians, who have scored just three runs in his starts.

His only bad start came against Detroit on April 9, when he gave up eight runs and seven hits in two innings in a 11-1 loss.

Cleveland had a chance to sweep a three-game series with the Seattle Mariners, but lost 9-1 on Sunday. Outfielder Coco Crisp went 6-for-13 against the Mariners, raising his average from .261 to .293.

Second baseman Ronnie Belliard went 1-for-3 for Cleveland on Sunday, and is batting .407 (11-for-27) with four homers and seven RBIs over the last eight games.

The Tigers had a snow-shortened weekend.

Carlos Guillen and Dmitri Young homered as the Tigers rallied for two runs in the seventh Monday to beat the Minnesota Twins 6-4 in a makeup for one of the two games postponed by snow.

Kyle Farnsworth allowed a two-run single in the seventh inning gave Minnesota its first lead, and marked the seventh blown save in as man chances for the Tigers. Troy Percival pitched a perfect ninth, striking out two for Detroit's first save of the season.

``I've never gone this long at the beginning of a season without a save, but I kept telling myself that today would be the day,'' said Percival, who the Tigers signed away from the Angels as a free agent to bolster their bullpen. ``I had better stuff today than I have all year.''

Detroit lost three straight before winning two games against Minnesota.

Hopefully Jake can finally get a win tonight instead of another tough luck loss.

Tribe getting trounced tonight. Westbrook only goes 2.1 and gives up nine runs, with the help of Jason Davis. Score right now at 10-1 Tigers (Tribe scored on an Aaron Boone solo homerun)

10-3 final last night. Four hits for the Tribe, three of them were home runs (Boone, Sizemore and Cora).
