Four game series against the Motor City Kitties in three days, with a double-header on Monday. For those interested, mezzanine seats are $11/per with a Pepsi can, add in $1 hot dogs and a picnic area for between games on July 4th and a full day at the ballpark wouldn't be that costly.

The double-header tomorrow will feature Scott Elarton vs. Jason Johnson in game 1 (1:05 PM) and Jason Davis vs. Justin Verlander (making his ML debut) in game 2 (7:05 PM). Both games will be shown on FSN-Ohio. To honor the soldiers on Independence Day, FSN will air the night game on the Armed Forces Network, free of commercials. Instead of commercials they will be airing pre-recorded messages to soldiers overseas, as well as taped messages from figures in sports like Andy Roddick, Danica Patrick, Jeff Gordon, LeBron James, etc.

The latter two games of the series will feature Jake Westbrook vs. Mike Maroth on Tuesday (7:05PM) and C.C. Sabathia vs. Jeremy Bonderman on Wednesday (7:05 PM).

Going to tonights game... Tribe is winning 3-0 right now in the 3rd.

smashed them in the first game.

hafner was really snubbed oh well. he hit a bomb to center wich had to be 480 feet farthest homerun to center since thome's 500 foot shot.

elerton had a complete game.

Elarton's CG is HUGE! Not only did it save the pen (the only person to warm up was Tadano, who is probably on his way back to Buffalo by now), but the offense made the Tigers go through four pitchers with a rookie making his ML debut tonight. Going for the sweep tonight, hopefully JD has a good outing.

that second game was really exciting. coco crisp inside the park home run followed by pronks home run. The indians are really heating up.

I'm heading up tonight to catch the game, hopefully I can continue my personal winning streak. The Indians are getting exciting again!

Start Broussard tonight!!! I'm sick of Jose in against the lefties

awesome day/night dh yesterday. on the 4th of july, the tribe really launched some fireworks of their own. the inside the park hr was great...at least we finally picked up a game on the sox, even though they won.

hafner was named player of the month for june. pronk is on fire :headbang: . three hr's yesterday. he will take the day off. i believe benny will be the dh. this team is really coming around.

I went tonight...it was my first game live...it was a great atmosphere and game despite the loss. I really got into it, cheering etc etc and i think i would love to see more even tho im not too sure on the rules and tactics, just hte basics really.

I have seen on tv a few games this year, incl the 4th july games which were sweet...it got exciting tonight when gerut hit that homer in the last, but disappointing that grady couldnt finish it off....carn the indians!!!

I was at the game last night and VERY disappointed with the crowd. Coming off a DH sweep, and the Tribe having one more home game after last night before being gone for the week and only 18,000 showed up? It was pathetic. That being said, I walked up and got some really good seats.

Jhonny Peralta is nearing a .300 BA with 9 HRs now, is anybody else noticing? Not to mention the fact that he is the biggest clutch hitter on the team, where are the calls for Omar now?

Grady is in a bit of a slump. It might not hurt to give him another day off before too long. Of course, the last time he got a day off was when he was hot, and he's been slumping since.

Not seeing Pronk in the starting lineup hurt a little bit, and what was Alex Cora doing pinch hitting in the 9th? Am I the only one that would prefer a Hafner-then-Boone scenario to Cora-then-Hafner. Cora is hitting .207 on the year! And he is our 9th inning pinch hitter? I'd have been more comfortable with Hernandez in there against a righty. Also, if they were going to give Pronk a day off, why not put Victor at DH and Bard behind the plate? It would reward Bard for a good game yesterday, as well as give Victor a little break. It made more sense to me than Broussard at DH and Hernandez at 1B (although he did have two hits).

Bonderman vs. Sabathia tonight, should be a good pitching match-up?

By the way, I couldn't see a replay at the game last night, did anybody catch if Victor's liner down the first base line was actually fair or foul? I was sitting down the first base line (not the best view for this play) but it looked fair to me. If it was, Coco would have probably scored from first and Peralta's 9th inning HR would have tied the game up.

Also, Fernando Cabrera looked AMAZING last night. He'll get sent back down when Betancourt comes back, but I wouldn't mind trading Riske/Howry/Betancourt for a prospect to find room for him up here in the second half of the season.
